I know a few laughed at the notion. That organization is so dysfunctional, I don’t think even McD could fix it. If I were McD, a better organization with some talent, but needs to recreate a new culture like McD did here is AZ. McD could probably get them to be a winning team if they draft the right QB. The build up both lines, and so on. Just like he did here. I don’t disagree McD about ran his course in Buffalo. He just kept losing in divisional or championship rounds each year. Quote

The Jests won’t get to 37 wins in TWO more seasons. 2028 we can bump this On 7/7/2026 at 1:37 AM, machine gun kelly said: Not sure if you meant this as a joke or serious. Unless McDermott is blowing his fortune, he’s not working for the Jets. He’d have to be desperate money wise, ego wise, to work for an owner that doesn’t fit his standards of ownership. Can’t see him settling for a wild situation unless he’s going through some sort of identity crisis. Quote

My hope is Tampa. He has real talent here. It was another posters idea, and Bowles is without a doubt on the shot seat. Quote

I wouldn't rule out Miami either. I can't see the Jets as an option because of Woody Johnson. He has to be the worst owner in NY and one of the worst overall. Quote
Gregg Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Per @RichCimini on the @NYJetsHMA w/ @JakeAsman and @BrandonTierney, Geno Smith was pulled over for speeding a few days ago (70 in a 45) and failed to produce an ID. He was cited in Broward County. — uSTADIUM (@uSTADIUM) July 8, 2026 Quote

The problem with the McDermott to AZ scenario is that the Michael Bidwell is also considered one of the worst owners in the NFL. I think that most NFL fans would name Woody Johnson, Jimmy Haslam, Bidwell, Mike Brown, David Tepper, and Stephen Ross as the worst owners. I might be missing one or two. Quote

Kind of why my wish is the Bucs. They have ok owners, and a lot of talent. He can get them in the NFCS to 11-6, to 12-5. May not make the SB, but this city would love another five years of NFCS winners like the last five one year off last year. Bowles has run his course. Could he beat the Rams or Seahawks, I doubt it,but they can at least get to the NFCCG. Mayfield is a lot better than outsiders believe, most havent watched him the last three years as I have and been won over. McDs talent is in building culture, a good scheme, and building the right talent to get far. To the big show, probably not. Bucs fans would love a team that was a perennial NFCS winners like the 9 out of 10 years even if a couple was Brady. 1 Quote
galept Posted July 9 Posted July 9 My favorite stat is that I'm almost positive the Colts have more AFC East titles than the Jets Quote
