But we’ll see. yea, and he's got the money rolling in from his Goalie Academy. 1 Quote
Stenbar Posted May 6 Posted May 6 No. Not at all. He was average at best last year, and he acted like a 2 yr. Old on his interference call against the Broncos(horrible call) but you just don't do that regardless. He is from the old guard and we were lucky to get the results he put up last year. Go younger and faster. Quote
machine gun kelly Posted May 6 Posted May 6 He’s getting older. A lot of people reminisce about the good old days, but teams move forward. Quote

Ah yes the good old days of the game saving pass break up in Jacksonville. I remember driving my Model T Ford to the malt shop to celebrate that win. 1 1 1 Quote
Kelly No huddle Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) Will they bring Tre back ? I think so. I do know that in the 2nd half of last year he was playing at an extremely high level, maybe better than any cb in the nfl. That's not hyperbole. In the road game vs the pats he had the highest grade of any cb all year in the nfl, nobody could get open. I believe Tre & Mad Max started that game. And yes they were playing some snaps in man. He completely erased Brian Thomas jr. And this was with a mild groin injury in the beginning of the season. Tre was fully back last year and a 100% Tre is still a top cb. Darrell Green would get tested every year into his 30s but was always the best on Washington no matter who they brought in. Guys like Tre are special. Ppl forget he was extremely close to winning dpoy in 19. Hes still very much that player. He proved it last year I do think they'll bring back Tre & Shaq Thompson I think Cooks is 50/50 depending on how mini camp goes with the younger wrs. Going into next year with Tre Benford Alford Igb Max Pride jr I think with the ptsd of past injuries at cb before or in the playoffs, I believe beane will do this. I dont know that it was ugly, but I dont think it was a typical amicable separation either..... we'll see Seeing as they had to pay him anyway given his production last season it would have been nice if they would have kept him around ! Then they wouldn't have signed Bosa which I think he was productive for the team but again if Von had 9 sacks here that would have led the team . I think Von understood why he was let go especially seeing that he said he would like to come back to Buffalo, sure some of that is due to him wanting to win 3 championships with 3 different teams but I'm good with it if he thinks it can be done here . I hope they do at least talk to him before the Broncos do ... Quote

That's a helluva high investment for you 3rd Corner. It's like people want to pretend like we didn't do that bc they have warm fuzzies for Tre. yeah true Quote
Special K Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Look at the rookie numbers thread.....Bills drafted multiple DB's and none of them were given #27......probably a sign they are likely interested in bringing him back. Quote
3rdand12 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I absolutely would like him back. he made many more plays than he missed on. And he was trusted one on one deep. Sure everyone recalls the last thing he did (or didn't do ) lol Not sure what the CB room looks like now or after camp , but Tre wants to finish in Buffalo for sure 😇 46 minutes ago, nosejob said: yeah true keep in mind , that most CBs need some time before getting mixed in. Bills looking to the future on that Kid. Smart move. and hope he shows early ! Quote

Hopefully he's good. 1 Quote

He also blew the Denver game 100% and threw his helmet on the ground like a baby. he also got coooooked on a few passes. Also - your report of him working out at the Bills facility is wrong. That would be tampering unless he is on our roster. Anyway, we will see. I think he was a McD disciple. Tampering? How so. So only the team players on the roster are allowed to work out in the facility? It might be tampering if he were on another team or another team had first claim to him. Quote
Urban Achievers Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) AARP is sending out a special Bills edition newsletter. I’ve been checking my mailbox for a week. Ethan in Cleveland Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Thompson is the priority to bring back. Everyone else I am fine not seeing again in a Bills uniform. That said... White on vet minimum would be okay as the 4th or 5th DB. Probably depends on if IGB can play some slot. If not then there is really no more room for a boundary CB. If IGB can back up the slot then it opens another spot for a boundary CB on the final 53. Bosa would be intriguing as a pass rush specialist. Probably would take him or Von back for a veteran presence with Chubb. Im not convinced Oliver can play DE so having additional options at DE would be reasonable. Milano is a sad story. Great player for a brief time. He's been a liability for years now. Hope he retires as a Bill soon. Quote

Thurman#1 Posted May 7 Posted May 7 It's not late yet. I'll be a bit surprised if they haven't done it by July. 1 Quote

Its not a traditional 2 gap 3-4 Nothing has changed with Oliver's position Edited May 7 by Kelly No huddle Quote
