Yes - a tipped ball. He also blew the Denver game 100% and threw his helmet on the ground like a baby. he also got coooooked on a few passes.

Also - your report of him working out at the Bills facility is wrong. That would be tampering unless he is on our roster. Anyway, we will see. I think he was a McD disciple.

He played well in the Denver game. He wasn't the problem. The fact that he got beat deep in single coverage well into OT doesn't mean that everything that came before was worthless. It should never have come to that anyway because the catch ruled an INT was ruled a catch all last season across the NFL. The penalty was a "whatever" play--meaningless. Will Lutz kicker wasn't going to miss a 29 yarder (it ended up being a 23 yarder because of the penalty).

He Made the game winning/clinching play at Jacksonville in the wild card game.

It was tipped to him, then he got cooked against Denver.

Its past time to move on.

i think he and cooks could sign for cheap, but it's a question of is there room?  i think shaq, and to a lesser extent maybe bosa or milano, are in a similar stead, but will likely want more than the bills are willing to pay.

i really hope dorian strong comes back, and i think hancock is going to develop, and we will have a bit of an embarrassment of dbs

It’s early yet but inevitably teams have to go with younger guys as the vets age and their skills start to fade and as injuries take their toll.  Guys like Tre, Taron, Milano were warriors, will be on the Wall.  But time marches on.

Our secondary, barring injury, is the unit I am the most excited about.  Over past few years, Beane has completely transformed this group

Weren't you, just a month or two ago, claiming McD was pulling the levers at roster and therefore Beane can't be blamed for the roster woes?

One would think that at this point in his career, Tre would prefer to stay in Buffalo, even if it meant not starting all the time. He loves it here, they're a contender, and he has already made his big bag. It might even be "Bills or Bust" for him.

I'd be happy if he signed; he was great last season and it's worth seeing if there's more in the tank.

That is just... wrong. It's amazing how some fans pine after Tre White. The dude is slow and should be nowhere near our team. I respect your enthusiasm, but for me, I don't want Tre on this team.

No. Tre was good last year but I don’t know that he fits into the “play on an island” aggressive defense Leonard wants to deploy.

Benford is a dawg.  Hairston has speed & athleticism.  IGB was hand selected for this Defense.

Thats 3 outside CB’s that would likely be ahead of him.

If there’s no starting opportunities out there, I could see him coming back to be the elder statesman, CB 3/4, depending on IGB’s readiness, but I can’t imagine our Secondary and/or new scheme is too alluring for an aging Corner.

I never claimed McD pulled the levers all by himself, I've always said it was a joint collab between him & Beane.  I did say that McD likely had a lot of say on the measurables/traits/types of players that he and his staff informed Beane to draft.

I want to see more speed in the secondary.  Max was brought in LY, but I'm glad that we don't have the likes of Taron, Rapp, a shell of his former self Poyer, Tre (albeit he had a very good year, but limited in man coverage) in the secondary anymore.

We turned the corner in 1 offseason, bringing in Alford, CJGJ, IGB, & Kilgore.  Lots of speed, to add to the pieces that we had in place.  But this secondary is going to look and play alot different.  That's why I'm excited.

One of those three WILL get injured. It's kind of an iron law of the NFL. They need another competent depth (emphasis on "depth") at the boundary CB position. You're not looking for all-pros; you're looking for better options than Dane Jackson. At the right price, White fits the bill.

We'll be playing more press man and not sure Tre, a year older, has the recovery speed for it.

They wouldn't be signing him to be a starter. He's a good depth piece. Depth players are always going to have some weaknesses in their game. White at least understands pass defense at a high level and is unlikely to make boneheaded mistakes. Moreover, while Denver played a higher percentage of man than most teams, they STILL played zone most of the time.

Bills need to add speed and get younger, especially on defense. I believe Beane and the coaching staff are doing that. Remember adding a guy like White means you are kicking a younger guys off the squad. Beane is intentional to not having to have a Dane Jackson around any more. Plus the prototype has changed.

Look at how many Bills FA defensive players out there in the market who played significant number of snaps in 2025 RIGHT now: Tre'Davious White, DaQuan Jones, AJ Epenesa, Jordan Phillips, Jordan Poyer, Matt Milano, Shaq Thompson, Larry Ogunjobi. Do we see a pattern?

If the vets want to come back to the Bills, they have to go the route of Poyer last year: practice squad. I don't know White and many others wants to do that. This team has a lot of youth and depth, especially on defense that they will give opportunity to.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if he did & bring Von back while you're at it . If they can get these guys on some very friendly contracts it's not like Von hasn't made his money Tre made some but not nearly as much due to his injury's but I'll bet he ain't hurting & another million in the tank couldn't hurt .

100% think the Von signing would be a great cheaper move, and with the 3-4 I could see an interest on his part... kinda depends on the way he left though.  I dont know that it was ugly, but I dont think it was a typical amicable separation either..... we'll see

White gave up 3 catches (4 targets) for 12 yards vs Denver and 1 TD

1 catch (4 targets) for 3 yards (3 PBUs) and 1 TD vs Jacksonville.

Anyways...

I think White and Cooks will be the vets who have a home on the practice squad this year.

Yeah, it seems to me that allowing unsigned players to workout in the facility we be a way to circumvent the 90 player cap. And it could have liability consequences if he were to injure himself at the facility. Something doesn’t seem to fit in this report.

I’m surprised the Bills have not added a depth vet corner. Tre may or may not fit the system but the depth at corner even after the draft to me is still suspect.

You have Benford/Hairston/Alford as the starting trio then Igo off the bench. After that your back end depth is shaky. Strong had a good start to his rookie year but then is coming off a serious injury. Hancock a bit shaky as a rookie. And a 7th round pick in Pride.

Adding a lower end vet would make sense just to have an experienced option in the mix for the 5/6 CB spots

And the season ending 30 yard DPI penalty. Compounded by throwing a temper tantrum with an additional 6 penalty yards.

He was decent against Denver after a great game against JAX
