ChevyVanMiller Posted May 3 Posted May 3 (edited) Man, that’s a bad look for an NFL QB. I had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a minor league baseball game 15 years ago. I decided before I got out there that I wasn’t going to try to throw it full power and end up embarrassing myself like so many others have done. I think I pulled it off pretty well, and I was in a tuxedo no less. Edited May 3 by ChevyVanMiller 13 4 Quote

Captain Hindsight Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Damn I’m actually a fan of Malik, but that’s uh not great Josh would have painted the corner with a slider 2 Quote
Wizard Posted May 3 Posted May 3 (edited) I played both baseball and football in my high school years. While I was never a superstar athlete, I understand that throwing a baseball and football involves a difference in mechanics and technique. However, unless Malik Willis has never attempted to throw a baseball once in his life, he is a professional athlete! He is in the top 0.2% of athletes in his sport and probably a top 5% athlete overall. To miss by that much is simply embarrassing! Here's to the Fish! I look forward to our secondary out receiving his wide receivers! Edited May 3 by Wizard 1 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted May 3 Posted May 3 I laugh but I know I probably couldn't even reach the plate if I was on target. 1 Quote

Alphadawg7 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 While funny I will say people don’t really understand how far of a throw it actually is throwing from a professional pitchers mound to home. Even the most confident get up there and then suddenly realize it’s a bit intimidating on that first throw. It’s a long way away and you’re standing on a mound where you also step down to a degree on the throw compared to just throwing on flat ground elsewhere. Still funny though Quote

CSBill Posted May 3 Posted May 3 I got to do it at a Toledo Mudhens game several years ago; my one and only professional baseball pitch = Strike, right down the middle of the plate. Even the catcher commented on how good it was. I retired from professional baseball before the first inning of the game that day, with a perfect and unblemished pitching record. 🤪 1 1 Quote
