SoonerBillsFan Posted April 30 Posted April 30 (edited) I agree on both. I feel Bell could end up our #2 WR by years end and Kilgore will play a ton. Both were absolute steals where we drafted them. https://www.nfl.com/news/sixteen-day-3-nfl-draft-picks-who-could-compete-for-starter-snaps-as-rookies-in-2026 Edited May 3 by SoonerBillsFan 6 1 4 Quote
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I agree with both. A big reason why is that there's really not a ton else there. While I don't think they're going to win a starting job outright I can see far more scenarios where we might run 4WR with Bell lining up inside or outside or Kilgore rotated in for heavy nickel more than 3 Edge rusher or 3 boundary corners I wish we had reversed the order but I'm going to enjoy the guys we got 1 Quote
NewEra Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I think there will ample opportunity for Parker, IGB, Bell, KEO and Kilgore. Parker, Bell and KEO as rotational depth. IGB due to our CBs being often injured. Kilgore in subpackages. 3 3 Quote
DJB Posted April 30 Posted April 30 You guys talk IGB and Parker and Kilgore…..but the man who’s going to play the most and save our season is that punter fella we drafted What’s his name again? 3 2 Quote

DCofNC Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I was shocked both guys fell that far and have to wonder why. I wouldn’t have been mad at Bell in round 2 (reach) or 3, to get him in 4 is great. Kilgore looked like a 3rd round guy to my eye. I won’t be shocked if Bell takes the #2 job at WR this year. It SHOULD be hard for him to take it in camp, but given the competition, it may happen. Kilgore should end up the 3rd safety/hybrid lb and see a lot of time. For better or worse, I expect to see the entire rounds 1-5 rookie draft class get a lot of playing time 1 Quote

Can’t wait to see them play.(For the record I like Parker as a player too.) 3 2 Quote

We got a steal on that kid. 1 2 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I think all 6 defensive picks even the 7th rounder have a huge opportunity with a new defensive coordinator and scheme. Beane had a strong draft and strong offseason. Leonhard now has a lot of talent to work with. And the offense lost a starting guard but otherwise lost nothing off a top unit and added some nice OL depth plus DJ Moore and Skyler Bell at WR. 1 2 Quote
corta765 Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (edited) Realistically the Bills first 7 picks have the ability to play all the way start. Beane said Parker and IGB will be at minimum rotating in with how the scheme and the Bills 3rd CB was playing 30% of snaps a game last season as is before factoring in any injuries. The Bills loveeee to rotate OL and go 6 lineman on certain downs so I would expect Bowry potentially sees time if he is ready. Bell it is a matter if he just beats guys out to work his way up as after Moore/Shakir the rest of the WR spots are wide open. I wish Shavers never got hurt because I loved what he was becoming but it is what it is. Elarms-Orr the has a huge change to get in the lineup given how weak the LB corp is, really depends on how ready he is or isn't same with Kilgore. Durant is probably the guy of the first seven looking up the depth chart the most but my understanding is he a high motor guy so who knows as those guys have a tendency to break into the lineup. To me the key will not just be guys starting but making impact and quality plays while they are in. Buffalo truthfully needs at least four guys to come in and provide quality play that helps to raise the bar talent wise. I want stars too out of this draft, but having four guys who can come in and become quality starters you have for 5-7 years would be big in help to fill out the lineup. frostbitmic Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I'd guess the two draft picks that'll see the most snaps will be Igbinosun and Elarms-Orr mainly because the starters in front of them have been injury prone. It won't be Doman Jr, except for being the holder on XP's and FG's, we aren't punting this season. 😉 1 1 Quote
MasterStrategist Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I think KEO will see the most snaps of any rookie this year - as I see him taking over the starting role early in the season, if not just winning it outright at camp. 1 Quote
Sojourner Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (edited) There was a video where Beane was talking to Tasker and Brown about the draft picks and, essentially, the projection of what the rookies are going to do. They talked about a number (would have to rewatch) of players who are going to contribute and by the sounds of it the expectation is half of this class to be relied upon. This roster has some flaws but every NFL one does. Just hope that the production comes just as good or better in terms of pass rush (though I’d say the end product of sacks itself needs to improve) if we go down a boundary corner and resort to IGB whats the rotation opposite Bishop? Is it Hancock or Kilgore if CGJ goes to the slot (big dollar alignment projection) or does Kilgore take that role? KEO might end up having to be the next man up if we don’t bring Thompson or Milano back and Bernard/Williams miss time. Zane Durant? Is he getting some time? Edited May 1 by Sojourner Quote
boyst Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Igb will be 25-30% of snaps a game on defense by year end. The 3cb package is gonna be used. Quote
Don Otreply Posted May 1 Posted May 1 With post draft hindsight, it looks likely that more than those two will be seeing the field with some regularity, I’m having positive vibes for our “D” more so than in the recent past, 😁👍🍸🚬 Quote
JP51 Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I feel like by the sheer number of departures (Milano, Bosa, Ogunjobi, Shaq, Phillips, Poyer, White etc...) and IRs (Shavers, Hoect, Davis) they are literally going to have to play... Quote
Cray51 Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Bell reminds me of the Davis pick from 2020. Came in, wasn’t super productive in his rookie year but there were flashes. Seems like a guy who could blossom as he gets into year two. Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I found it interesting in the Embedded video, right after he took KEO, Beane remarked he's got a good chance to start 1 1 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted May 1 Author Posted May 1 He shall now forever be known as "KEO" 🤣 And I predict he ends up starting at ILB at some point this year. 1 Quote
