Well. . . . . . It is against the law.

I think that most owners would be against their head coach doing that.

( and yes I am well aware that several owners probably use cocaine, but the point stands)

.

They care when it’s Adam Gase. They don’t care when it’s Sean Payton. If Sean McVay is blowing lines in his office, they look the other way. If Aaron Glenn is blowing lines in his office he will be out of a job.

On the list of concerns for NFL owners this is WAY down the list. The business world is the exact same way. I’m in the insurance business and it’s everywhere with the top people. It’s not my thing I’m too scared of fentanyl. As long as people feel the need to be at their best 24/7, cocaine will be rampant. Owners aren’t discouraging that. They want that energy. They want the 16 hour days. When you don’t win, it becomes an issue.

I’m sure it’s probably more prevalent than people think.  Who cares

Who cares? Athletes can’t smoke weed without getting suspended but it’s ok for a coach to be a coke head?

Not cool, but in way, I get it. I don’t think most normal people are built to live the life of an NFL head coach. I couldn’t do it. I can see there being a strong temptation to use substances to cope.

This isn’t out of the norm at all. It runs rampant at the college and professional level. Long hours - some people use whatever means they can to burn the midnight oil.

When was the last time you saw an athlete get suspended for recreational drugs without an arrest? That’s not really a thing anymore. The players don’t want it and neither do the owners. If the Josh Gordon situation happened in 2026 it would look absurd.

It is funny I knew exactly what Jets coach this was going to be about before I even opened the thread or read the article the OP posted

My first thought was Tomlin. My second thought was "He needs a better dealer."

I posted this in the other Gase thread, but putting it here because this is a crazy video all around. The Co-keenya allegations are in here too.

Recent story of a surgeon who removed a patient's liver instead of the spleen.  Those organs are on opposite sides of the abdomen and they look unmistakably different.

Given that we don't actually need our spleen to survive, but losing our liver would kill us, that could not have ended well.
