I thought it was a pretty common day to day phrase for the light coming on for someone on a bad path- religion totally optional in its execution 3 Quote

So angry Don't be angry, it's just an opinion about a storybook. To each their own. And if he did find Jesus then that's awesome for him. I wish him all the best. All I really care is that he performs well as a football player whether he likes religion or not. I frankly don't give a hoot. Go Bills! Quote

Palmer had multiple catches late in patterns where Josh found him, where he was supposed to be and open. If he's healthy in 2026, I expect Palmer will see a lot of playing time. 1 1 Quote
akcash Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Did they have the tryout yet? Was wondering how it went for Burton or if hasn’t happened yet? Quote

That’s often a difficult balance here. he’s going to be our epenesa/kelsey of WRs 1 1 Quote

That’s often a difficult balance here. he’s going to be our epenesa/kelsey of WRs I've always defended Kelsay. He was better than people give him credit. He was always a useful player, just not the star that some expected him to be. Better than Epenesa. I agree that Palmer isn't the savior, but I think he'll be a useful player, like Kelsay. I think the whole story about the 2026 receiver room comes down to whether Moore goes over 1000. If he does, some combination of Shakir, Coleman, Palmer, Bell, Sherfield, Hardman and whoever else is there will be quality role players. If Moore is 600-yard guy, the passing game will look the same as last season. Quote

Yeah, we definitely weren’t watching the same games. He seemed pretty lackadaisical. But here’s hoping that he actually shows up this year. Edited May 6 by NeverOutNick 1 Quote

He was better on the Chargers from what I remember. He isn't a super talented player. But I think he has a lot more than he showed last year. I hope he brings something this year. Because last year he was basically a dud.. Quote

Not much of a red zone threat, not much of a deep threat, not twitchy and can get locked up by good corners. Quote

They need more WR's after losing some this year. And he would be a nice compliment to that WR room. Quote

So if he hasn't matured they would just cut him & sign Cooks, Hardman, Sherfield or one of the young guys like Gosnell or Maclin. Maclin & Tomzcak have return experience in college. They are also good route runners, separators. If Burton doesn't factor in their plans for the 53 before opening day I think Hardman will be the 6th wr/ kr/ pr Brady has said he doesn't really prefer shakir doing returns Hardman has value as a vertical separation guy. He can still fly, and hes obviously been a gamer in big games. He's my wr6 until burton proves himself. My 6 wrs & ps Moore S. Bell* Shakir Palmer Coleman Hardman Ps- Sherfield Gosnell Maclin* Pup- return in mid to late November Shavers Redshirt ir- Tomzcak* I'm not counting Burton until he proves himself. He has to earn everything...He needs to be willing to play gunner and block too. Ive said this to other people too - if this list is indicating S. Bell is WR2, you are going to be sorely dissapointed. Keon is the WR2 right now, and will be given every chance to keep that job if he can get the off field stuff behind him. And no matter how someone might feel about Keon, the facts are he is also our best blocker and Brady values that a lot. So, just like when I said Hollins is going to have a real role here and people got mad about it, people need to come to grips with the fact Keon is most likely our WR2 this year, and if not him, Palmer is the next man up anyway. I like Bell a lot, love the draft pick. Not a knock on him, but the reality is Brady and the FO are still very high on Keon and with his blocking ability, it will keep him in the driver seat of the WR2 spot unless he blows it. 1 1 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Interesting to see where this goes. Obviously it’s a long shot, but at the end of the day Burton needs to beat out Sherfield and Hardman, and to me that is very doable….assuming Shavers is PUPed. If his head is on straight, Burton is so much better than those guys. The special teams piece will be a big part of it, but Burton has a shot. Quote
