Shaq and Cooks are the priority. They both can still play and fill needs not on the current roster.

Tre can wait. I suspect he will wait for a training camp injury to try and get a good deal

Milano is washed. Say good bye

Wagner would be such an amazing add. He can still play and would help Bernard out so much.

Personally, I think Nose Tackle is the priority. We have Phi Mathis and a "bulked up" 3-Tech who never sees the field and is coming off an injury.

Milano, Tre, Cooks.  Min deals or nothing.

add Shaq to that.  I want a NT, and think the Bills are insane for routinely passing on them.  The run D was terrible last year.  It’s a generally cheap position to address if you want just a run stopper, but I’d go with Reader who can add some pass pressure also.

I’m sure it’s better than no job, but I do wonder if Shaw was here for McD initially.

I’d add Bobby Wagner to that group of Lbs.  he’d probably want a good amount more money as he made 8-9M last season

He’s got to be old by now? See

m he’s been around forever. Does he have anything left? Curious.

My view on our options and what I think the likelihood we sign them:

Retreads:

Matt Milano - 40%

Tre White - 30%

Brandin Cooks - 60%

Shaq Thompson - 60%

DaQuon Jones - 5%

Larry Ogunjobi - 10%

New Blood:

DJ Reader - 20%

Calais Campbell - 25%

Mario Edwards - 20%

Bobby Wagner - 35%

Personally, for DaQuon and Ogunjobi I'd move that hyphen one space to the right.

He played pretty good last year.  Better than I anticipated.  I though he played better than any of our Lbs.

My take on it is that they don’t want a nose tackle. They have had multiple chances to add one, fairly cheap in free agency and then passed on them all in the draft. And did not sign one as a UDFA. Despite what fans want, they don’t want one. They want guys who are versatile, it’s what they keep saying. They don’t want a 2 gapping tub of goo. That’s my interpretation of it all. From all accounts Leonhard is going to be running a 1 gap aggressive style, over under defense.

I think they will go to OTAs and see how it all looks, see where the pieces fit, and if they have to add a body at some point,  they will.

I posted this in another thread, if Leonhard is going to field a version of Denver’s defense, they only lined up as a traditional 3-4 with a nose tackle 25% of the time. Are you going to pay a guy a lot of money to do that and only that? I agree with you, they want versatility.

Need signed. 1T, run stopping ILB, depth WR and CB. Any other Free Agent thoughts post draft. Tre white, dj reader, Calais, shaq and cooks

I wouldn’t expect much.

Von said he’d like to come back here so that would be a nice cheap add for a 3rd down package

maybe Shaq.

maybe Cooks although I’d rather just see Burton signed after minicamp

Am I the only guy who doesn't really have much interest in Cooks? I thought he was running on fumes.

C’mon man, your acting like he rolled over, played dead and let a CB rip the ball out of his hands in the biggest moment!  Nothing like that happened, what’s the beef?

"If we trotted the ball out right now, Deone (Walker) is going to start at nose for us. But can I tell you if Deone's going to be a better nose or a better 4i? I can't totally answer that. I think that's TBD as we move along." - Brandon Beane on @WGR550

Beane reads Two Bills Drive?! :o

Hey Beane, ignore these troglodytes and keep loading up that DL, brother!

Presumably whomever they’d pay to line up a NT while in the 3-4 would play 1T when they are in an even front.

One would hope they’d get somewhere around 50% if the snaps
