For 300+ pounders, the 225 bench test is more of an endurance event than a test of pure strength.

2 guys I knew in college made a bet on a 225lb bench-off. One guy was humongous, 450ish max bench. The other guy was built, but only weighed probably 220, max was 350ish. The 450lb max guy gassed out quickly and only got about 15 reps, the smaller guy got somewhere in the mid-20s.

10 reps by Fina is still embarrassing though...

Anyone can get stronger and bigger. I’m confident that the Bills staff can do that. I wish D Dawkins was stronger and had muscular arms.

As stated earlier, the decision to even participate showed a lack of judgement.

Performing so poorly is not just a physical failure.

Every prospect in the draft would be better off not doing the bench press if they are only able to do 10.

For such an obviously smart kid, it's amazing that he allowed himself to show so poorly.

Ten reps on the bench didn't increase his attractiveness to teams.

That is really shocking for an O lineman.  When I was well into my 50’s before i blew out my left shoulder I could do between 10-12 reps pretty regularly on the bench at 225.  And I am a little over 6 feet and weigh around 208-210.  I am in good shape for my age, but not a physical freak.

When my son played at Georgia Southern I think he did like 30 reps weighing probably 245-250.  I believe his max was low 400’s.

He was always strong.  Just didn’t have the length to play DE in the NFL.

Let’s hope Fina gets stronger quickly.

I am not worried about muscular arms some folks are just built for mass not definition.. I more worry about his extra weight limiting his range and endurance... he just needs to be in better shape... and stronger... absolutely he can be that... I would look for more lower body drive and core strength from him over arm strength.
