I think all of us can see how this is a pivotal year for Dawkins depending on how he plays.

 

I think it's equally possible that he signs an extension than he doesn't based on how he looks early on.

Dawkins is still under contract for 2027. So there’s really no need to extend him.

That's probably not the opinion of the player and his agent though.

I was responding to a poster commenting that he has short arms.  I don't expect Jude Bowry ever will be a starting left tackle.  I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Bowry eventually being a swing tackle in reserve.  I don't know that it will be this year.  He's not ready to be a starting guard in the NFL either.  He needs to get stronger.
