Special K Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Tre White and Joey Bosa's chances went way down. The Bills did not address WR or LB with their early picks, and any LB or WR drafted at this point will not be an immediate impact starter. Therefore, I'm sure the Bills will turn to plan B and give Milano and Cooks a call after the Draft. The drafting of an Edge and a CB with the first two picks all but end the chances of Tre White or Bosa returning. Not saying the players the Bills drafted are bad, just feel that they did not address the glaring holes at WR and LB......we shall see what the rest of the Draft has in store....... 2 5 1 Quote

I actually still think Trey is in play. If not him another vet that can be CB 4. 1 2 Quote
davefan66 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Beane has to have options outside of the draft for linebacker. I believe Shaq is high in the list..maybe Milano. I said it yesterday that Cooks has to be on his way back. Disappointing we did not draft a young guy so far. Maybe we take a guy top of the 4th, but I wanted a higher rated prospect. Quote
oldmanfan Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I read somewhere they had already talked to Cooks about returning. I think Thompson is another guy. Tre I doubt. Milano maybe. Quote
TheBeaneBandit Posted April 25 Posted April 25 We'll see on Cooks after this next round....a handful of somewhat intriguing receivers left. Quote
nuklz2594 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 not seeing this. I think we just suck it up and take our lumps this year Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Let's be honest here. - A healthy Bernard is a really good LB, even as a weakside ILB, a position he played in college. A late first likely isn't starting over him. He also just signed a new deal. - Dorian Williams play style may fit ILB perfect, and is an explosive athlete. He's also like a year older than most of these rookies. - A 4th or 5th round NT is likely still a legitimate starter and free up Sanders, Walker, and Oliver. - Bills haven't given up on Sanders yet, who at a minimum is DE3. You can still add a legitimate DE4 today to compete with Jackson. - The supportive language around Coleman should've led us all to believe he's safe, but it's hard to believe GMs. I guess they were telling the truth. They also JUST signed Palmer, who was injured after a cheap shot. He can line up outside, rotate with whoever, and provide a fine 4th/5th option for Josh. That speedster role likely is a situational WR, who can still be added today. 1 Quote
BlueRed Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I’m willing to wait to see how day 3 comes together with the rest of the bills picks. At WR they still have a chance at Skylar Bell, Bryce Lance here at the top of the 4th. At LB (later) I think any of these would be fun additions as well: Aiden Fisher, Kendal Daniels, Red Murdock. When Jim Leonard filled out his coaching staff it seemed he picked a lot from the college ranks - how they develop & get any usefulness out of these defensive day 3 prospects will likely determine how successful this version of the Bills can be. 1 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Cooks and a day 3 rookie always felt like a fallback option. It looks like that’s what it’s going to be. It’s still quite an upgrade on where the WR room was in 2025. I suspected a starting LB would be drafted. I’m a little surprised that they haven’t gotten a guy yet. I suspect someone today (maybe Elarms-Orr). They’ll need a vet now too IMO. Milano or Shaq makes sense. 2 Quote

Murdock feels right up their alley I also think that for at least a year they aren’t replacing Bernard and I’m not sure how aggressively they are going to push out Williams in a limited role he has and with him being fine enough mi genuinely thought 35 was lb reading the boards but…. Dillenger4 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I don't see Cooks - we have our WR's. Shavers, Shakir, Coleman, Moore and Palmer. Quote

Bernard has one of those spots in ink. Whether he should or not is a different story. He’s a team captain on his second deal. They weren’t pushing him out. I like Williams more than most but thought they’d recruit over him. My guess is they add a vet and a rookie. Quote
