Virgil Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) It's time for our first TSW Mock Draft Poll. For those who aren't following along in the main thread, this is a mock draft run by TSW board members each running a different team. The Bills pick will be selected by this poll. This is a no-trade mock, so trading back is not an option. I am going to remove the bottom vote getters at 4p and 7p. If you have already voted before those times and your player was eliminated, please vote again. The top 3 players will then go from 7p until 9a tomorrow, when the Bills will make their pick. Notes: -KC Concepcion was taken in 1.0, so will not be an option in this poll. We already know that is the TBD first preference. -There is no trade back option, as the Bills did not receive any offers. Follow along here: Edited April 22 by Virgil Quote
Bray Wyatt Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I went with Malachi Lawrence, plays a premium position that would warrant a first rd selection. May not have the biggest impact this year as would be tough to get consistent playing time, but cant have enough pass rushers 1 2 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Went with McCoy best player on the board by far. He did well at pro day so if his knee is that jacked up I’d be surprised 1 1 Quote
Big Blitz Posted April 21 Posted April 21 If you want, I’d add Gabe Jacas to it. It’s another Edge and after that Kiper mock that said we like him I think he’s a possibility. Spent more time looking at him I like him a lot. 1 Quote
Dr. Who Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Given the constraints of this exercise, this is the absolute worst case scenario, imo. I would strongly prefer one of Cooper, Boston, or Concepcion to fall to 26, and while Concepcion is my third choice there, I would still take him. Since he is the only one on the board, but ruled out by a prior iteration, I am going to make a tactical choice. I prefer Miller to Lawrence, so I’m picking the best option that is likely to rival the leading contender here. I also like Jacas in a trade down, but that is not an option. Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) Bills definitely find themselves in no man’s land in these exercises. And that’s why I think the 1.0 version with Concepcion makes the most sense. There are good players here, but as Peter Schrager said, I think you have to throw positional value out this year and just take the best player on the board. Pass rusher would be the third/fourth guy. Corner would not be an instant starter. Does O line make sense? Maybe. I think the most immediate impact would come from the WR position for us. So I like the 1.0 outcome, and I like the 2.0 outcome with the trade down. I’d probably take Lomu here, plug him in at LG, and then you have your Dion replacement down the line. Bisontis is nasty in the run game, a guard only, but that’s ok. Both guys are just 21 years old with upside. Edited April 21 by MrEpsYtown 4 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) Oh this is spicy!! I’m going McCoy because he feels like a way better player than all these guys and the Bills DO have a need at CB. I wouldn’t like them reaching on a role player with a potential impact player, at a position of need, on the board. Edited April 21 by Kirby Jackson 1 Quote

I would of picked Lomu if I thought he could play guard for a year or two but I don't think he's strong enough. Quote

He’d be the first CB off the board if not for the injury if he falls to 26 you run to the podium. 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Just now, Big Blitz said: He’d be the first CB off the board if not for the injury if he falls to 26 you run to the podium. He sticks out like a sore thumb here to me. He’s in a different tier than every guy listed. I don’t see any chance it happens but in this example, it’s McCoy by a wide margin. 1 Quote
nosejob Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Well this played out like last year's draft. Not a whiff at DT with the last good pick going right before us. Last year was Tyliek williams 3? spots ahead. Top WRs gone too. I won't be mad with a CB or whoever they really do pick, but it's gonna be hard to get starter material from there on. If it were me, I'd roll the dice on Caleb Banks, but for the sake of this poll, I took the 10th rated Edge in Lawrence. 1 Quote
KOKBILLS Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Christen Miller is my dude... Here are some of his recent quotes regarding his style: On his on-field mentality: "I’m a monster. On the field, I’m somebody who loves violence, wants to make plays, wants to win games, wants to put my team in good positions. Ultimately, my whole goal on the field is to run through somebody’s face mask every play". On his approach to the run game: "You have to be selfless, but you also have to be a dog. You have to play with reckless abandonment. A lot of people think they can run around blocks. I prefer to attack them head on". On his pass-rushing philosophy: "Honestly, running through somebody's face (laughs). That's my first goal as a pass rusher. All the kids think playing football is cool, but you need to be tough enough to be willing to run through somebody's face". On the two sides of his personality: "It's two different light switches. [On] game day, I’m NBA YoungBoy, I’m mad, I’m angry. And then after that, I’m ready to go eat, ready to fellowship, ready to have fun". On his performance at Pro Day: "No pads, no problem... Showing that dip and lean. Showing that razzle dazzle". On his journey from underclassman to leader: "I came as a boy and I left as a man... I'm a whole different guy now, for sure" 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) I'm voting Lawrence again, for the same reasons I did last time. But I think the most likely real outcome is a trade back into the 2nd. We might not get the value we want in the trade. But Beane has been meeting almost exclusively with 2nd round prospects and yesterday said there are less 1st round grades than usual. We know from his history he will trade back as far as he can if the grades on his board do not match the round he is in, as he did before selecting James Cook and Keon Coleman. I think that is his plan this year unless somebody falls unexpectedly. Edited April 21 by HappyDays Quote
frostbitmic Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Screw it ... Chris Bell - WR - Louisville ... Yes, he's coming back from a knee injury but he's young and will recover and later in '26 or certainly '27 he'll be a starter next to Moore, I kind of like that. 1 Quote
boater Posted April 21 Posted April 21 This is your opportunity to pretend you know who these players are. Don't pass it up. Be like everyone else, do a quick Google search on the guy and then comment according to this template: "I have been following ____ since his freshman year at _____. He is a _____ player who will ____ in the NFL." 4 Quote
Virgil Posted April 21 Author Posted April 21 1 hour ago, MrEpsYtown said: We removing Allen too? From 2.0 No, because we traded back to get Allen. So this would be to find out if he's still the guy if we stay put and KC isn't an option. But good question. I thought about it for a minute 1 1 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I voted - but if this was our pool of picks, we would be trading back almost certainly. 2 Quote

Everybody and their Mama wants to trade down. The talking heads say there are only 15 players first round graded. Quote
