Don’t underestimate the dad impact. It’s motivating to have a renewed purpose. Combine that with the new energy in the new building…this could be a special season.

To be quite honest Josh, if you came up to the podium and said I’d like to win it all for the squirrel that lives in your front yard that’s f&$@in peachy. Whatever you gotta tell yourself just win the god$&@n thing already.

a first year head coach hasn't won the SB in 36 years... and that was George Siefert who simply slipped into Bill Walsh's chair.   the prior and only other instance is from 1970.

Folks need to get ready for another season pretty much like last year.   Maybe a pull back, frankly.  We shall see I suppose, but it will probably take a couple seasons to re roster the defense and this misfit D roster will, regrettably, likely get lit up a bunch this season, IMHO.

that said, go Bills!

Yeah, like picking up extra hours to pay for a mortgage, a better vehicle, daycare, etc.......Oh wait...never mind.

He was great at the Sabres game, but I don't like his energy in the recent interviews. He seems slightly depressed.

Or just very tired cause he has a newborn...

The adrenaline rush of walking into the home stadium on game day must be absolutely incredible. Along with being a competitor at the highest level must be addicting. I can see how the offseason can be a little mundane after all of that.

Dont forget about the complete lack of sleep.

Josh may be a zombie on game days

a young second year coach just won the chip, and he did it because he upgraded from trash to OK at qb, and stayed mostly healthy down the stretch.  also, he had a young OC from a good coaching tree (who left after one season).  the biggest change, aside from the qb and pass epa improvement, was that they went from decent on D vs the run to really really good.

now, the bills have a new young HC (1st or 2nd youngest in the nfl i think).  our HC was the OC of the best offense in the nfl over the past two years.  we also ditched the absolute worst run DC/HC and the worst performing playoff defensive coaches of the superbowl era.

the new HC on our team is also stepping into a role where the goat qb is there, the number one running game is there, and and onto a team that had been a top 3 favorite to win the superbowl in the past 5 seasons.

i fully expect our D and special teams to be better this season (don't be a siefert era luddite and look at some goofy NFL rankings, look at success rate and EPA).

Hard to fault Josh for his desire to win so far! He has given all we could ask for from a Bills player. Now, of course, we want the Bills to win it all, but come on. What we realistically want, is for him to STAY as motivated as ever - including in the preparation phase. And yes, smiling Josh plays better than anxious/depressed/nervous Josh.

  • BillsFan619 changed the title to JA still wants to win, just for a different reason

619, you know Imlike you, but you need to work on that title.  My response when reading was “huh”.

I hear ya, MGK! I changed it initially three times to make it sound better. 🤣

I changed it one more time, based on your thoughts. Hopefully, it’s clearer now.

Thanks!
