If you built it we would come. GO SWORDS

I think this is FANTASTIC.  Even though this is a football board a lot of  additional interest just because its Buffalo

ILH

This is the first season I am remember I haven't been super invested in the NFL draft that much.

If we lose today PLEASE let's not go all GDT doom and gloom. It's a 7 game series.

Sabres in 6  is my call and Im sticking to it

Prediction Time - Well, our long winter of discontent is finally over. The 14-year playoff drought is done and the New York Jets now stand alone as the North American franchise with the longest run of missing the playoffs.

It’s fitting that the Sabres’ first playoff opponent, post drought, is an old-time Adams division opponent - the Boston Bruins. The Bruins feel that they are the more physical club and look to come in and bully the Sabres. I think that’s a mistake, and that the blue and gold will be ready to throw down when the time comes.

Boston boasts a strong top line of Geekie, Lindholm and Pasternak. The Buffalo checking line will have their hands full, keeping them off the score sheet. But there’s a steep drop down to the second line, which features old Buffalo castoff Casey Middlestat.

There is another former Sabre on the Bruins defense, Nikita Zadorov. Charlie McAvoy is a stud, but overall the Sabres have the much stronger defense corps.

If there’s one clear advantage that Boston has it is with stellar goalie, Jeremy Swayman. But UPL has been money for months now, as he and Alex Lyon led the Sabres to the best record in the entire NHL since December.

Here’s what the line combinations look like for the Sabres going into game one:

 Forward lines:

Peyton Krebs – Tage Thompson – Alex Tuch
Jason Zucker – Ryan McLeod – Jack Quinn
Zach Benson – Josh Norris – Josh Doan
Jordan Greenway – Josh Dunne – Beck Malenstyn

Defense pairs:

Rasmus Dahlin – Mattias Samuelsson
Bowen Byram – Owen Power
Logan Stanley – Conor Timmins

Playoff hockey is stressful. For the players themselves and for their fans. There is no way to accurately predict how a young team making their first postseason appearance will do.

If you are looking for an omen, a guy called into WGR550 a few years ago and said that he was a psychic. He made this prediction: the Sabres would win the Stanley Cup in 2026, and the Bills would win the Super Bowl the following year. From his lips to God‘s ear.

It says here that this Sabres group will rise to the challenge and dispatch the Bruins in six games.

What’s your prediction?

I have zero buyers remorse.

It must be the playoffs. As much as I love this franchise, I haven't been this nervous or excited for a game in what seems like forever and that includes the games down the stretch to clinch not only the playoffs but the division.

Sabres in six.

LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!

Buffalo must be Electric right now!

My prediction- Boston tries to bully us.  Big mistake.  Buffalo ain’t backing down.  Boston takes stupid penalties.  Their penalty killing sucks.  Sabres score a couple power play goals.  Win by at least 2 goals. Arena sets decibel record.  Sabres Sweep!
