The NBA really ***** up this season because even though the previous rights packages were scattered there was a consistency as to when games were on. The prior season you had a good rhythm as to how the week would go for nationally televised games.

Monday- NBATV

Tuesday- TNT

Wednesday- ESPN

Thursday- TNT

Friday- ESPN

Weekends after football season- ABC

This season the schedule was so scattered. You had games just on Peacock, games on NBC, games on Prime Video, and games on ESPN/ABC. I honestly caught so many less NBA games this year because I just never knew when they were on unless the Knicks were playing. All major sports need to make sure it is simple and easy to find their games.

People just resort to piracy, hell they caught LeBron using StreamEast to watch NBA games on an I-Pad at one of his sons high school games back before they shut it down. LeBron is a literal billionaire he can afford anything so he probably just went to piracy because he didn't feel like figuring out how to watch a dam game.

Piracy is alive and well.  I ran with that one!

At this point, I am not sure why I have YouTube TV and Sunday Ticket. What’s the point?

In the 1980s, while living on Long Island, I would sometimes drive an hour to find a bar showing the Bills game. Lunch and bar tab was easily $100. I don’t even know what Sunday Ticket costs, $300-$400? If all I watch is two games and factor in inflation, it’s cheaper. And I can watch from my couch.

That’s fair. Everyone has a price for sure

I used to watch every Yankee game, haven’t seen more than a few a year since cable prices got crazy.

Used to have Disney+ too. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, it’s like my comfort. They raised their prices and it become obvious to me it time to cut it

Out on season tickets too with the new stadium. Obviously I’m just one person, but there are many people like me who are being squeezed for every penny and finally saying enough is enough

Again, just me in this example, but I know, at least among people I know, everyone has a limit. Some have reached, some haven’t

Why not just buy the yes network stand alone package or the mlb package if you are not blacked out.  Each are only 129

The only game I feel I need to watch are Bills games. I see most home games live and I see most away games one way or another. If the Sabres games are on my tv plan, I’ll watch those. I live in Northern VA. I like sports but they don’t have the same grip on me like they did when I was younger. I’m certainly not going to pay for all of these different apps. Not worth it.

Simple fix.. V-SEE BOX!! I'm shocked more people are not utilizing this instead of cable or streaming services.. you can watch any sporting event, anytime at no extra cost!! Just saying

💯 … just passed the year mark with ours and still going strong. There might have been one Sabres game I couldn’t find, and a few current release movies are of the “Kramer in a theater with a camcorder” variety, but overall well worth the investment

I know what the options are.  It’s more a matter of the choices you have to make in life. Daycare costs me 3100 a month for example, that’s not something I can cut out my budget. Student loans, mortgage, groceries, gas, car payments, various other debts, random house repairs

Baseball and entertainment in general is pretty far down the list of priorities. Just a fact

Same for us British fans of the premier league. If you want to watch the games (and we don’t get to see them all due to some ridiculous law banning Saturday 3pm games from being shown live) you need to pay £25-30 to sky, another £25-30 to TNT sports, and also make sure you have Amazon prime for the 2 or 3 rounds of games they have live too.

Sports are built to shaft you wherever you live or whichever one you follow sadly

The soccer is the same over here now. You need minimum 3 subscriptions to see the Premier League and the European competitions.

I have just moved everything to BT/EE and made a pretty good saving after years of being a SKY customer. But the inconvenience of setting everything up again almost makes me think wasn't worth it 🤣

I try to watch the Yankees.

I mean they have their own network (YES) for God's sake.

But now.

For the 2026 season, New York Yankees games are spread across 10 different networks or streaming services,

making it highly fragmented for viewers.

Key streaming platforms include the YES Network (via Gotham Sports App), Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Peacock, and Netflix.

Core Streaming Platforms for Yankees Games (2026):

  • YES Network (Gotham Sports App): The primary home for the vast majority of local games.
  • Amazon Prime Video: Exclusively streaming 21 regular-season games.
  • Apple TV+: Streaming Friday night games, including Yankees matchups.
  • Peacock: Airing Sunday games (replacing Roku from previous years).
  • Netflix: Streaming select games, including the season opener.
  • MLB.TV: Provides out-of-market coverage for games.

It is very frustrating.

IF you simply buy the mlb app you can watch all the games.  The apple, espn and peacock games which there are only a few you can listen to the radio broadcast live and then watch when the game is over.  The mlb app gives you the amazon games live if you are out of market you do not need amazon if you are out of market and have the mlb app.  Mlb tv games are also on the app live.

people act like the yankees play tons of games on apple, peacock and netflix.  It's completely untrue.

I am not sure how this is frustrating honestly.  I don't pay for apple or peacock.  I just watch the game after and listen to the radio brodcast if I am able to.

The mlb app has a great feature that is not talked about enough, The Big Inning.  Its redzone for baseball.  Its fantastic.  Those games you get blacked out of you will see bits and pieces of on the big inning just like the redzone.

Also if you are in market and pay for the season for the yes network I believe its 129, they also play the games after they are over so you can catch replays.

Jump through all the hoops you want.

"You can listen to the game after it is over"

"You can watch bits and pieces of the important innings"

"Just watch the replays"

Just buy more apps"

I have loved baseball for over 60 years.  I want to watch the whole game (boring parts and all)

I’ve been with BT for years but had 900MB speed which has slowly crept up every year and was over £70 by the time I changed it and I never even got the 900 speed on WiFI anyway. I stuck with them for so long because of the discount I got on TNT sports as I was a big UFC fan but the cost just got too much for me and I’ve cancelled the sports and downgraded the speed to 500MB for £24.99 a month after threatening to move to Vodafone who offered the same for £25. I get sky sports via nowtv deals which gives it me for £20 a month so I can live with that, and I had NFL pass cheap for a few years as DAZN promised to keep it at the same price you paid before them for the first 2 years, but this year they want to charge me full whack at £170 so that’s another one I’ll be cancelling unfortunately so wont be able to see every bills game live the coming season

its not jumping through hoops.  Buy the mlb app and you will get everything, tv and radio broadcast plus mlb the big inning.  U will have to wait to rewatch the apple, espn or peacock games but there are very few..  You are complaining about amazon and mlb network games when u get those live with the mlb app.

as of right now the yankees have one game on apple tv and two espn games before the all star break.  The Yankees have 3 games scheduled on peacock.

So of 162 games you are upset about less than 10 games on apple, espn and peacock....all of which can be listened to live via the mlb app's broadcast of wfan and then watch later when its over if u want.

also u put stuff in quotations that I did not say which is odd.

i hear you. I was a sports bar guy for years until we bought our first house in 2005. As bills fans too, we often got the worst TV In the corner, often with no sound!

I so miss the old days of haggling every July with directtv and getting the massive discount on Sunday ticket.

What % of people do you think did that?

Also, it's like tj max or banana republic outlet...most of the clothes there that are on super discounted prices are actually made to be sold at those prices, they aren't actually on sale.

Living in Germany means games start at 7pm, 10pm or 2:20am which is pretty terrible. My kids have literally never seen the second half of a game (their bedtime is 8:30pm).

But having access to every NFL game live on one service is excellent (what was NFL Intl GamePass and is now DAZN).

Well no shix.  But if you didn’t ask you didn’t get it. So it was like an annual football event to call. Plus it was so much simpler all games  being on one simple  service.

If you can figure out non sanctioned methods, all major sports and networks, $25 strong and $25 trex for a full year will give you a backup when one is down, probably a vpn as well as ISPs sometimes block the streams.

sometimes quality isn’t perfect, and the games run on about a one minute delay so it sucks if texting friends during the game.  But it’s a work around to 10 networks
