BillsFan619 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 (edited) This isn’t a complaint thread. It’s an observation that multiple streaming services aren’t just an NFL thing. It seems like it’s becoming the norm. The NBA playoffs are on these different streams: -NBC/Peacock -Prime -ABC (no official streaming app) -In the playoff match of Minnesota vs Denver, you’ll need each of them if you wanna watch your team and aren’t living in the local area: -Game 2 - NBC/Peacock -Game 3 - Prime -Game 4 - ABC The NHL playoffs are on these different streams: -TNT/TruTv/TBS/HBO Max -ESPN -ESPN2 March Madness was on these different streams: -Paramount+ -TBS/TNT/truTV (through HBO Max, but you had to have an upgraded version) Go Bills! Walking Tall Posted April 19 Posted April 19 They’ll make their money short term. They’ll get greedy and add more platforms.. That’s when things may get interesting and fans revolt. 1 1 Quote

That said, I don’t know if it will happen as much as some may think. With people who live out of town, they’ve been paying money every year to see their favorite teams play. I’ve never lived near the Bills so I’ve always had to pay to watch. Edited April 19 by BillsFan619 Quote
billsfan89 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 The NBA really ***** up this season because even though the previous rights packages were scattered there was a consistency as to when games were on. The prior season you had a good rhythm as to how the week would go for nationally televised games. Monday- NBATV Tuesday- TNT Wednesday- ESPN Thursday- TNT Friday- ESPN Weekends after football season- ABC This season the schedule was so scattered. You had games just on Peacock, games on NBC, games on Prime Video, and games on ESPN/ABC. I honestly caught so many less NBA games this year because I just never knew when they were on unless the Knicks were playing. All major sports need to make sure it is simple and easy to find their games. 1 hour ago, Captain Hindsight said: $7 Doritos. LeBron is a literal billionaire he can afford anything so he probably just went to piracy because he didn't feel like figuring out how to watch a dam game. 4 2 Quote

Everyone has a price for sure I used to watch every Yankee game, haven’t seen more than a few a year since cable prices got crazy. Used to have Disney+ too. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, it’s like my comfort. They raised their prices and it become obvious to me it time to cut it Out on season tickets too with the new stadium. Obviously I’m just one person, but there are many people like me who are being squeezed for every penny and finally saying enough is enough Again, just me in this example, but I know, at least among people I know, everyone has a limit. Some have reached, some haven’t 6 Quote

You may want to try NFL+, bro. Yes, the downside is that you’d have to wait about 10 to 15 minutes after the game is over to watch it, but it’s so much cheaper than NFL Sunday ticket and you’d be able to watch every game no matter what streaming service the Bills game was on live. If I remember correctly, I think I paid $80 to $90 for the year this past year. I’m able to watch all the bills games and it also gives me the NFL channel. They also have a monthly plan where you can go month to month. I’ve done that before and then just canceled it after the season was over. Hope that helps. 3 1 Quote

I am definitely going to investigate this option. If a bunch of our games are national ones and some are on streaming platforms, then maybe I am looking at only a few games where I need NFL+ or ticket. Quote

YouTubeTV has CBS, TruTV, TBS, and TNT. I believe that would get you every game from March Madness. You would not have needed to supplement that with Paramount+ to watch every game, correct? That's a little different than having Sunday Ticket for NFL and still needing Amazon or Netflix to see every game Edited April 19 by Dirk Diggler Spelling 2 Quote

I live far away also, but IMO it's exactly living far away that makes me accept it. If I lived in Buffalo and still had to suffer through this crap I think I'd have a different attitude. 1 Quote
