Virgil Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) Hi Everyone and a welcome to the TSW Mock Draft 3.0 sign-up thread. Not many changes to the format this year, but the rules and expectations are as follows: Mock 3.0 is 1 round and with trades. If the Bills trade back, the mock will extend to that pick if we have time. The Bills selection will be done by a survey of the BPA’s at the time. The draft will begin on April 19th at 7p Please vote in the poll attached to this thread, as many have stated they are interested in trading up or back in some capacity. As of now, as these mocks are meant to be both fun as well as create a perspective of how we’d feel about certain scenarios, there’s an idea of having the Bills trade a 2nd and their 1st to move up in 3.0. In TSW 3.0, the Bills may trade their 1st and both 2nds to move up as well. Will these trades really happen, who knows? But part of the point of these is to see what it would look like. *If the Bills trade up, the trade will be run by Virgil and other select owners. The draft pick itself will be made by a Poll. Owners - To volunteer to serve as a team GM, you need to: · Be in good standing on this site (daily activity, account history, etc) · Reply in this thread with the top 3 teams you want to manage (only listing one will be ignored) · Be prepared to keep up with your picks (3 hour window between picks) · Be prepared to follow the posting guidelines when it’s your pick (failure to do so might lead to your exclusion to participating in future mocks) Resources: ESPN Team Needs NFL.Com Team Needs ESPN Draft Prospect Rankings CBS Draft Prospect Rankings Trade Chart Rules: · Every owner has 3 hours to make their pick · GM’s cannot control the same team in different mock drafts · Trades must match the trade value chart linked above at a min · No players can be traded (We have allowed trades in prior years for players that were for certain on the trade block, but that does not seem to be the case this year. No, we are not going to allow a James Cook trade unless something comes out that he’s on the block) · When you pick, you must use the following format · With the 26th pick, the Buffalo Bills select Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming @Virgil is on the clock. (Commas and caps make my life easier when updating the page) · When you pick, please give a few sentence summary as to why you made the pick you did. The more commentary and ownership, the better the experience. · Draft hours are from 9am-10pm EST. If your pick comes up at 9p, you have until 10a the next morning. Trade Rules: Once a trade has been worked out by both teams, a DM with both owners must be sent to Virgil for approval. Within that DM: -Both GMs must acknowledge the trade -The trade chart totals must be met a minimum for both teams. -The trade is then posted by the GM who is picking next, including the outline of the trade and the points exchanged -The entire process must take place within the 3 hour pick window. You do not get a fresh clock. ***if you are looking for trade offers, please do not wait until your trade window opens. Get ahead of this. BuffaloBillyG Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Just thinking out loud here but you know what I think might be fun? Doing a redraft sometime. Like a 2019 NFL redraft. Quote

Captain Hindsight Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I’m regretfully going to sit this one out. I’ll be on the road all week. If we are in need of owner however, I’ll quit my job. I’m sure my wife won’t mind 4 Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I guess I just traded my pick to the Giants for Dexter Lawrence. Good luck to all the GMs. @Virgil I can take a different team if you want. If not, I can sit this one out. 1 Quote

It seems like a decent draft at the top, but falls off fast. The great Gil Brandt from NFLR used to say all the way back to the early 70’s, there’s only maybe 12-15 true 1st rd graded players each year. 1 Quote
