Rams release “refreshed” uniforms

“Removals: The Rams chest tag has been removed along with the gradient numbers and pant stripes for a refined look.

Pants Color Options: The addition of the White primary pant compliments the current Royal and Sol options allowing for more uniform combinations on game day.

Helmet: The iconic helmet treatment remains unchanged, with the addition of new 3D bumper logos.

Jersey Sleeve: Introduced during the Rivalries uniform, the full modern horn sleeve has been added to both primary jerseys.

Neck Tag: The neck tag features the Sol monogram on Royal backing draped over the collar highlighting the connection to the city.”

 

 

So basically they deleted the stupid patch and gradient numbers and then added a better horn on the sleeves.

Looks like they got rid of those terrible "Bone" colored away uniforms. It's a better look.

I love the Rams blue and yellow uni's.  They also have one of the best helmet's in the league (after the Bills helmets (prefer the red over the white).  That said, the Rams new all whites are awful.

It would appear Nike has "better" designers in-house. 

 

I was disappointed that Nike got another ten years from the NFL to design jerseys.  They've had some real loser designs since they picked up the contract in 2012.

Nice upgrade.

 

The gradient was abysmal. The wordmark on the front shoulder was abysmal. The "bone" color was abysmal (not that they used it the past 3 years).

 

These are clean and easy.

My wife calls them the "Ikeas." The Chargers are the "Ukrainians." The Packers are the "Crayolas." The Titans are the "Teslas."

Every team updating their uniform should ask themselves one question: what did we wear in 1992? That's the only uniform direction they need.

I wish they would leave the cool uniforms alone and just keep changing the Browns look weekly to satisfy our need for change.

Interesting story on how the Chicago Cardinals got that name. In 1920 when the franchise was establiahed it purchased the used uniforms of the U of Chicago. The maroon colored jerseys became "cardinal" and the name was born.

 

An interesting fact related to the U Chicago Maroons: one Andy "Polyphemus" Wyant played eight varsity seasons for Chicago and Bucknell. I guess he was a member of Animal House!
