I expect him to make the team and I expect him to be a backup Defensive lineman in the 3-4. He played a lot of 4 tech at Arkansas so he’s used to having to hold up lineman and work gaps versus coming off the edge. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s more in the 275-280 weight range at the start of next season

I would like to see him spend considerable time with a gymnastics coach to get the ironing board stiffness out of him.

I can't see him pass rush an olive tree based on last years evidence.

Torn MCL and PCL on a player who already resembled Frankensteins monster while trying to move around out there. He'll make the team as a backup, but if he has another setback on the injury front, I could see him waived or back on IR. So far he has been a big whiff for a 3rd rounder, similar to Carter.

We won't be seeing him as an update on the U.S. $20 bill anytime soon. 🙁

That's about all we can hope for. But if he makes the team I hope it's off performance and not last year's draft position. I was excited when we drafted him. Thought he could be ok. But I saw nothing in the slightest during the preseason to make me think he's got a long career ahead of him.

He'll have a fight on his hands to not get cut, I'd say he has a 50% chance of making the team. They could just IR him & put that decision off for another year, which is probably the most likely scenario.

I think there's an extremely low chance he's a contributor in 26'.

This pick made no sense according to lots of people here who know way more than I do about college players. And they seem to have been right :(

Cole Bishop too... man what an awful rookie year....... oh wait lol

The kid has a nice floor, freak strength and athlete, capable of collapsing the edge consistently.  Especially after a year in NFL S&C Program, anybody ever wrestle a kid with alopecia in HS? LOL Im half kidding but you'd think they lack myostatin by looking at them.

I think in this defense that is a huge responsibility for the 4i guys, based on what I read from a few knowledgeable posters on the '3-4 Leonhard' post when the news broke.  It made sense when I heard it.  I dont know that i understand it well enough to explain, but if true, i think hes capable of at least  that and will serve a nice role.  Anything we get over that would be super helpful.

Dont forget he had several very good years in the SEC, and those who saw him play knew he was always going to have a red-shirt year, as a guy whos pretty raw, and has a track record of redshirting and then having success going back to even HS, and then college.  His jump from year 1 college at LSU - yr 4 Ark'nsas is one of the more impressive recent feats IMO

After a successful campaign, Jackson signs a deal with Hallmark to star as Carl Weathers in a biopic of the actor's life.

Landon Jackson

'Action Jackson'

Maybe getting on the field is a good start.

He is going to have a tough time making this roster. He is not an olb and he's too small to play 3-4 de.

My expectation is he is traded.

He is probably going to be traded for a swap of 6th and 7th round picks. Complete waste of a day 2 pick.

I like him inside in that 4tech, 5 tech role. I think it protects him. He is strong and athletic but is a little stiff. He was never going to be a guy to bend the corner, but I think his skill set plays with the OLB outside him.
