With the 18th pick in the 2026 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select:

Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon

Reason; The Vikings have a few weaknesses on their roster but their big question mark is in the secondary with both CB and S being a concern. Thieneman is a good all around S who will work best playing centerfield.

@RyanC883 and the Panthers are on the clock

And there goes my 14th and final 1st round grade.

Great pick! I was going to grab him for the Steelers because I think that Rodgers is completely, officially done. Did you see him against Houston? Often these guys can lose it all at once.

If I was the GM of the Steelers in the real world I would trade up to take Simpson. There would be nothing to lose. If he sucks and they bottom out they can try again next year.

Once again, great pick!!!

I should have known he wasn’t going to slip past you

With the 19th pick, the Carolina Panthers select Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon. The Panthers have to correct an offense that averaged 18 ppg last season, and adding a weapon to go along with OROY McMillan will start the process of offensive improvement.  The Dallas Cowboys and @LEBills are on the clock.

As an aside, Carolina was considering taking S Thieneman, but he went right before us.  So it made the pick easier.

With the 20th pick in the 2026 NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys select:

Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State

With Christian Parker coming over from stints with the Broncos and Eagles the Cowboys had some work to do. After getting McCoy at 12 to act as our Patrick Surtain or Quinyon Mitchell, we add a lynchpin in the center of the defense to be our Jordan Davis.

After acquiring Quninnen Williams mid season our run defense drastically improved. This offseason our NT position was filled by rotational players.

In adding McDonald, we finish the revamp of our run defense and DLine that we started when we traded away Parsons. He will also keep our linebackers free. Speaking of LB, it was considered but quickly forgotten as Allen, Hill and Rodriguez were not worth a first round pick.

The Steelers and @Bill from NYC are on the clock.

Yep. In an informal survey of 673 mock drafts this year, every single one had Thieneman being selected by the Vikings... true story!

If there was a damn DT or CB worth taking at 18 I would have considered it. McDonald to me is the only DT going round 1 and 18 to me is way too early for him

With both top rated quarterbacks gone, this does not shape up well for Pitt. This forces me to go with blockers for the next qb, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have a top 10 pick next season. I think that either Rodgers will retire or he is completely finished.

In any event, the Steelers select Monroe Freeling - OT - Georgia

The Chargers and @Hermes are on the clock.

Yeah the more I watch these things and see the bills sitting at mid 20s the more discouraged I get. I’m starting to lean away from traditional round one philosophy. It goes beyond what everyone says, but it seems to make sense towards taking a player with a higher floor but possibly limited celing who can contribute right away vs a  high ceiling player who may have current flaws and could take years to blossom.

In the same sense, I am also more open to selecting a non-premier position player in round 1 because I don’t want the “Coleman” effect as it seems to be happening at WR. Take a player at a premium position, wait for them to be given opportunities and seamingly come up short.

Maybe it’s wrong but as everyone is screaming “Super Bowl now!” I want to go get a guy who can play a ton of snaps and contribute right away.

Bro, did you see Rodgers against Houston. I mean the Texans have a superb defense no doubt, but Rodgers really looks finished. I am a VERY small bettor and most of my picks are college games but I hope Rodgers does try to play again so I can bet against him.

Some athletes lose it all at once. From where I sit he is done but hey, who knows?

With the 22nd pick in the TSW mock draft v2.0 the LA Chargers select Olaivavega, G, PSU.

We had to be careful not to trip over our own feet we running so fast up to the podium. The guy we had our eyes on slides right into our laps. A classic guard prospect to round out the OL. We're looking to control the ball on offense and dictate how we attack, through the air or ground. This offense will be a wagon.

With the 23rd pick of the 2026 NFL draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama.

Proctor brings a level of size, power, and physicality that’s hard to find, and we believe he can be a dominant force in our run game.  His ceiling is as high as any lineman in this class, and we’re confident that we can refine the technical areas of his game.  He gives us immediate depth, can play at guard, and is a future starter at tackle.

We seriously considered an edge player, but the opportunity to secure a long‑term replacement for Lane Johnson carried too much weight to pass up.  In the end, we felt the drop‑off at OL was steeper and that we can address other needs later in the draft.

The Cleveland Browns and @frostbitmic are on the clock.

With the 24th pick, the Cleveland Browns select Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson

The intent was to go with OL here but my top 3 left went in the last 3 picks. Plan B was to go with BPA and on our board that was Avieon.

Terrell should contribute from day #1 with elite ball skills and fluid athleticism.

OL getting some love here. Good stuff. Still some edge guys and WRs left for the Bills. McDonald going hurts some. But I do think the Bills are in an ok place right now.

With the 25th pick, the Chicago Bears select Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah

The run on OTs continues as the Bears worry about the lot being picked clean before their two second rounders. An athletic left tackle, Lomu has the frame to become a real pass blocking stalwart for Ben Johnson’s offense. Though a bit lighter in weight, a few deep dish pizzas and NFL training will have him bringing more umpf in the run game for years to come.

We contemplated going secondary or edge to here, but think there will be available guys in round two who we can live with where as we would not feel the same if we passed on Lomu at 25
