Virgil Posted April 10 Posted April 10 (edited) It's time for our first TSW Mock Draft Poll. For those who aren't following along in the main thread, this is a mock draft run by TSW board members each running a different team. The Bills pick will be selected by this poll. This is a no-trade mock, so trading back is not an option. I am going to remove the bottom vote getters at 3p and 7p. If you have already voted before those times and your player was eliminated, please vote again. The top 3 players will then go from 7p until 9a tomorrow, when the Bills will make their pick. gonzo1105 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 So I screwed up Virgil Rutledge is gone so he can be taken off this list before he gets votes 1 Quote
DJB Posted April 10 Posted April 10 (edited) Went G Rutledge. Josh is key to our success and we still need to continue to protect him. Rutledge can compete with Anderson and Corbett at LG while also providing insurance for Torrence next year if he’s not brought back Hes also Daniel Jeremiah’s 47 ranked prospect and shouldn’t even be available in this spot at 91. Rutledge is a no brainer here for me Edited April 10 by DJB Quote
HappyDays Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Keionte Scott is clear BPA at this point IMO. In the real draft he'll likely go in the mid to late 2nd round, or at least the top of the 3rd. So I voted for him. Scott profiles as a chess piece in Leonhard's more aggressive scheme. He has elite speed and explosion metrics. I know we signed Alford to be our starting nickel but he isn't good enough to be handed the job uncontested and we can move on from him next year if we want to. Scott probably wouldn't be a starter early but get him on the field in subpackages/dime looks and let him fly downhill. 1 3 Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Very boring list. Seems even worse than the mocks I've run. Who's missing? has to be someone. 1 Quote
MJS Posted April 10 Posted April 10 (edited) Scott or Louis. 38 minutes ago, HappyDays said: Keionte Scott is clear BPA at this point IMO. It seems like he is supposed to be good in coverage but also instinctive against the run. He is a smaller LB, but his 24 tackles for loss seems impressive to me. Edited April 10 by MJS Quote

He has a career missed tackle rate of almost 20%. Got exposed a bit on the boundary when he was at Auburn so he is a slot player. And his completion percentage and QB rating allowed aren’t anything great. BUT this list is rough. Scott, Barham and Wheatley are the guys that make the most sense I suppose. Or just say F it and draft Skyler Bell, Bryce Lance, or Ja’Kobi Lane. Between them and KC, one of them have to be good! 1 Quote
SydneyBillsFan Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Dane Brugler's Beast Rankings of those left on our board: 53 - Keionte Scott Miami Plays like a linebacker in a cornerback’s body; may give the right team meaningful snaps. 60 - Dani Dennis-Sutton Penn State A commanding presence with the size, strength and quickness to be a force on the edge. 62 - Keylan Rutledge Georgia Tech A solid blocker who will fight for early playing time — if his medicals are clean. 64 - Domonique Orange Iowa State An ineffective pass rusher, but powerful and immovable when he wants to be. 78 - Zakee Wheatley Penn State An alert, fluid athlete with starting potential in a zone scheme. 82 - Brenen Thompson Mississippi State Track athlete with legit “see-ya” speed (4.26-second 40-yard dash was the fastest at the NFL combine), has upside as a No. 3 WR for an NFL offense looking for his specific skill set 85 - Mike Washington Jr. Arkansas A good-sized, punishing athlete who will need to improve on third down. 90 - Bryce Lance North Dakota State A “Freaks List” alum who requires some polish; projects as a rookie backup. 100 - Jaishawn Barham Michigan May bloom with the right coaching, but lacks the size to be an every-down edge. More on DD-S, who intrigues me: A two-year starter at Penn State, Dennis-Sutton was an outside edge rusher (three-point stance) in former defensive coordinator Jim Knowles’ scheme. He posted nearly identical production each of the past two seasons and led the Big Ten in pressures per game (3.8) in 2025. He also added special teams duties as a senior and accounted for three blocked punts. Dennis-Sutton wins with a combination of quickness and power in all facets of his game. He isn’t very deceptive as a pass rusher, but his hands are active and aggressive, which allows him to mix up his attack with varying swims, stabs, rips and chops. Though he offers a solid anchor in the run game and rarely gives in, he lacks explosive twitch getting off blocks or redirecting in chase mode. Dane’s takeaway Dennis-Sutton will find sack production harder to come by against NFL blocking, but he is a commanding presence and has the size, strength and quickness to be a force player on the edge. He will be more appealing to teams looking for a “high-floor” role player, as opposed to a “high-ceiling” pass rusher. 1 Quote

I think the small rangy LB prototype has left the building with McDermott. Leonhard wants big thumpers that can tackle. Which is why I question Bernard's fit moving forward. That being said I have no strong opinion on Kyle Louis as a prospect, just don't see him as a fit here. 1 Quote
HoofHearted Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I chose Barham. I think JL could get a lot out of a tweener like him. Could potentially become our field outside backer (Nik Bonitto role). 1 1 Quote

Or just say F it and draft Skyler Bell, Bryce Lance, or Ja’Kobi Lane. Between them and KC, one of them have to be good! I'd have Barham #2. I'll just copy and paste what I wrote about him in the mock draft thread: "If Scott wasn't there my pick would be Barham. He has elite athletic traits and an elite motor, but needs a lot of technical work. I'll always bet on uncoachable traits with coachable weaknesses. To me he's the ideal of the type of front 7 player we should be looking for in this draft - bendy, explosive, capable of playing the field OLB in Leonhard's defense. With Barham it's more of a projection but I think the upside is worth the swing at this point, especially considering how underwhelming the other options are." Wouldn't hate Wheatley either, he is a pure FS and would complement Bishop well. Just not a huge fan of the upside. As usual I'll defer to you, Gunner, and Gonzo on technical scouting. I am big on traits and scheme fit. Quote
