Yup. And, if they didn't report it people would be asking nonstop. Look at last year with Cook. "Did he report yet? Oh he did? What was his participation? Did he do drills or just sit off to the side? What did he have for lunch?" Quote
pennstate10 Posted Wednesday at 08:45 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:45 PM Lets think this through for a minute. Unless you just won the superbowl, by definition, your team can be better. Practice usually makes you better. Β to highlight, OTA provide an opportunity for: Β --Team building --Check in on offseason strength/conditioining/weight goals --Develop timing/"chemistry" with new pass catchers/throwers Β Call me crazy, but I think OTA attendance should be mandatory. Β Yes, these guys work hard, but they work for 7-9 months out of the year.Β Anyone else here with a full time job working those hours? 1 Quote

JPL7 Posted yesterday at 12:06 PM Posted yesterday at 12:06 PM My take is the exact oppositeβ¦ My question is always, why wouldnβt you attend the workouts?? Voluntary or not. If you donβt attend, it tells me you arenβt bought in. All these guys get paid a lot of money to play a sport that we would all play for free. Itβs an opportunity to be with the boys again. Youβve been off for three months already, and youβre going to be off again for another couple of months. So why in the hell canβt you go do some very light workouts and be with your teammates?? Quote
Mr. WEO Posted yesterday at 12:09 PM Posted yesterday at 12:09 PM every year someone starts a thread asking why the media makes such a big deal when players don't report for voluntary workouts... Quote
MJS Posted yesterday at 12:10 PM Posted yesterday at 12:10 PM Say what you want, but it does often mean something. The vast majority of players do show up to the voluntary stuff. The ones who don't sometimes are trying to send a message to the team that they aren't happy with something (not always, but sometimes). Quote
