With Sabres playoff berth, Jets own longest ACTIVE playoff drought

Congratulations to the Sabres for making the playoffs. Let’s go Buffalo!

 

By making the playoffs, the Jets now own the longest active playoff drought in North America at 15 seasons. And hopefully it keeps going and going and going.

 

For context, the longest playoff drought in NFL history is the Cardinals at 25 seasons.

What’s wild is the Jets have had very good rosters in recent years. I think if they hadn’t fired Salah mid season they could have gotten in

 

They’ve had plenty of issues, but many are their own making

I think the Jets already owned the drought streak because their 14th drought season ended prior to the Sabres 14th drought season.

That was in a technicality kinda way that would be meaningless if the Sabres missed the playoffs this year too....this makes it official

I think Glenn already said that Geno will be the starter this season, so it looks like it will be another long year in East Rutherford, NJ for gang green.

Tied for 1st in the mighty East, and having the tiebreaker over Tampa Bay, going 3-0 against them.  Yet Buffalo pays $2000 to win Cup, while Tampa is +$360 lol.

 

Get these odds while you can.  NHL oddsmakers are sleeping on Sabres.  Sabres could up being a 1 seed, with the 8th best odds to win the Cup

Jets are tanking for a QB.  2027 NFL draft, the Jets are on the clock….
