Alphadawg7 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 With the 39th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select: CB, Colton Hood, Tennesse Having addressed the biggest issues on offense with our first 2 picks, we can't pass up the opportunity to bolster our secondary opposite Ward. Hood is a physical corner with fluid hips and quick feet giving him one of the best back pedal games in the draft to mirror receievers with his 4.4 speed. He flourishes on the line in press coverage and shows up on contested catches where is competitve drive is on full display. This kid has a real knack for the ball and excellent closing ability and instincts. He is everything we want in a corner in our defense, especially with his physical play at the line buying time for our beasts up front to get home at the QB. @Kirby Jackson and the Kansas City Queefs are now on the clock! 4 Quote

Work + visiting family + yada yada... but I would have in fact drafted (for the Pats) TJ Parker so...had really targeted Zion Young after some random cable segment a month or so ago that had Young matched up with the Pats and he seemed so damned calm and confident and just problematic enough...but Parker was the next best choice. I need to look at myself in the mirror after this. Was doing Patriots mocks the night before in preparation. And STILL let daily work patterns make you all wait too long. You folks deserve better. *even started a spreadsheet of two big boards that I intended to cross out names from earlier today in preparation for my fairly easy pick... What a Richard Noggin move 1 2 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) With the 40th pick the Kansas City Chiefs sprint to the podium and select: Caleb Banks, DT, Florida We considered Banks at 29. Huge upside and will get some time learning from a Hall of Famer. The Chiefs are thrilled with this haul as we work to remake our defense. @Bill from NYC and the Bengals are on the clock. Fixed it for you above.... 😂 But - you are not picking 29th - we are in the 2nd round Edited April 7 by Alphadawg7 2 Quote

Would not love seeing KC land Banks in the 2nd. I agree, this would be an impressive 3 player haul for their defense, although I have to believe that at least one of those picks will end up being at least one player on the OL to get Mahomes some better protection coming off a major injury too. 1 Quote

He reminds me of Chris Jones. Great pick as long as he can figure out how to tackles. 1 Quote

I debated OL there too. Felt like too much value to let Banks slide. 1 Quote

I think any OL would have been a reach in terms of how the board fell to you. Fano at #9 would have been the closest by my reckoning and I don't see that as a move Veach would make. 1 1 Quote

Bill from NYC Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) With the 41st selection of the 2026 draft, The Bengals select Kayden Proctor, OT - Alabama Crimson Tide, and I want to explain this pick: 1) I saw every game he played LT at Alabama. 2) I'm not sure if he will turn into a great LT in the NFL. I would not be surprised if he did or did not. 3) What I do think is that he almost definitely would make a fine RT or Guard 4) In this draft he will probably go sooner, so I view this as a reasonable pick. In any event, ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! The Saints and @GunnerBillare on the clock. Edited April 7 by Bill from NYC 4 Quote

GunnerBill Posted April 7 Posted April 7 With the 42nd pick of the 2026 TSW Mock Draft v1.0, the New Orleans Saints select: Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State @H2o and the Miami Dolphins are now on the clock. I've been sweating it out since the 2nd round began but the Saints got their guy! New Orleans has lost a lot of corner talent over the past couple of seasons - trading away Marshon Lattimore and then seeing Paulson Adebo and Alontae Taylor leave as free agents in consecutive years. Johnson's arms are a little shorter than ideal and that does pose him the odd issue against bigger receivers at the catch point but his movement skills, eye discipline and patience are among the best in this class. The Saints have already held a private work out with him and he was the guy the coveted at this spot. And we knew we were safe once the Bengals went on the clock, knowing their GM's aversion to drafting corners 😜. 2 5 Quote

In this seemingly weak draft I would expect him to go in round one, making this pick a steal of sorts imo. I know the Bengals need defense but protecting Burrows would be of paramount importance if I was the GM. Quote
