It’s easy just to place an arbitrary grade on someone or run a simulator with someone else’s grades attached to it and say here’s my 7 rounder based off of that. 
 

It’s another thing to use your own brain and map out 255 picks and see where it falls. 
 

I’m in the 6th round of mine so far. I had the Bills making two trade downs, first with the Chiefs and then with the Giants to 37.

Wow I wasn't aware. Lot of love for Matt as a guy as much as an analyst. Was very generous to me with his time. Sounds like he is lucky to be alive and at these moments you have to try and find the positive.

Apparently Miller is also being accused of theft. He was taking “donations” to donate to various charities but wasn’t donating all of the proceeds to the charities. 
 

Was also apparently running fraudulent dynasty leagues where he was keeping the money .

Via Sam Neumann of Awful Announcing, the Missouri Attorney General has opened an investigation of Miller.

After Miller disclosed on Twitter the horrific injuries he suffered, including the amputation of his left arm, his family started a GoFundMe effort. That sparked a litany of online complaints about Miller’s handling of fantasy football leagues, paid scouting lessons, and charitable efforts.

 

Ben Koo and Brendon Kleen of Awful Announcing have spoken “to at least seven people” who said they paid entry fees for charity fantasy leagues Miller ran, with buy-ins as high as $500, “only to find him unreachable when it came time to collect winnings or confirm where the charitable portion of the money had gone.” Koo and Kleen have since heard from more than 40 others with similar complaints.

 

Miller reportedly ran 91 fantasy leagues during the 2025 NFL season.

 

The Missouri Attorney General’s Office is seeking complaints directly. The latest Awful Announcing story has both the number to call and the link to a complaint form.

 

Through it all, neither Miller nor ESPN have commented.

 

The entire situation is sad. But Miller’s injuries don’t absolve him of any potential irregularities arising from the many complaints that have coalesced in the aftermath of the GoFundMe campaign."

Matt Miller’s charitable efforts face scrutiny amid life-threatening car crash

 

Apparently he also scammed people who wanted to get into football scouting, excerpt below from the Awful Announcing article cited above. 

 

 

Long before Matt Miller joined ESPN, he seemed to have a similar habit of promising a service or experience that was not fully delivered upon under the guise of a charitable effort.

 

One person detailed to Awful Announcing an instance of signing up for football scouting lessons with Miller, the proceeds of which were advertised as going to charity. Multiple people in the aforementioned Reddit thread share similar scenarios dating back nearly a decade in which they signed up for Miller to teach them the nuances of scouting.

 

“It was so long ago, but I was graduating from college and thought, hey, maybe I could work in scouting? This guy has a career in media doing scouting, and he’s offering to mentor people,” one person said. “Yes, I had to pay for it, but it was for charity. I wanted to get my foot in the door and make contact. I was excited.

“We spoke on the phone for five minutes, and then when it came time for me to schedule my lessons, that just became a circular process of me sending emails and DMs, but nothing happened. I felt bad asking for the money back and just hoped he’d follow up at some point and do the right thing, but he never did. $500 was a lot for me back then.

 

“I felt really dumb about the whole thing. I told my friends and family about it when I signed up. They would ask about it. I lied to some of them and said the lessons were good. I tried not to think about it because it made me so mad.”
