Many of the more recent guys they have met with are not first round options. So they might still take a WR in the first if they are BPA - but it’s definitely not anywhere close to 60% chance they do, it’s a pretty low percentage unless a guy slides IMHO. The thing is with where the Bills pick no position may have a true 1st round grade, and no other team is trading into the 1st round for a 2nd round talent. But as far as BPA, I think WR has a strong chance of being that honestly. Then considering position value and that could be the deciding factor as well. 3 1 Quote

Devin Moore - CB - Florida 165. Billy Schrauth - G - ND 168. Xavian Sorey Jr. - LB - Arkansas 182. Nadame Tucker - Edge - Western Michigan 220. One Moore is never enough…you always add one more Moore. 1 Quote

I’m positive that they didn’t just talk to those guys and then said, “oh nevermind we were able to get DJ Moore.” When the Bills were willing to part with a 2nd they likely knew that they were going to have a great shot at Moore. They still met with all the top guys. They didn’t just meet with those guys and then say, “we should trade a 2nd for DJ Moore and a day 3 pick.” They also reportedly were in on Mike Evans AFTER DJ Moore signing. They entered the combine knowing that they were looking for 2 WRs not 1. Moore is one of them. They then proceeded to have Chris Bell & KC Concepcion (reported elsewhere) in and a private workout with Denzel Boston (in addition to his combine meeting). Here are a list of visits: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-news/130393/buffalo-bills-2026-nfl-draft-visit-tracker. The only 1st round prospects that they’ve met with as of this list are 4 WRs (Cooper, Concepcion, Boston and Tyson) and Thieneman. I’m not sure how anyone can take that and say, “definitely less than 60% on WR.” Their ACTIONS are saying otherwise. They didn’t just decide to do their due diligence on WRs in the first and no one else to throw teams off. They’re doing it because they want a guy there. Edited March 30 by Kirby Jackson 1 1 1 Quote

Teams trade into the bottom of the first all the time even when there is no longer first round graded players left. If you want a guy who likely wont be there at your next pick, you move up to get him. Whether or not a guy will be there a team wants enough to go get is yet to be seen, but its not about first round grades, its about making a move to get someone you don't think you can get waiting. 2 Quote

Most of what is "reported" is wrong, pertty much all the time. Just like it was "reported" we offered a 2027 first and Miami insisted on a 2026 and we said no - when in fact, Miami never even responded to our actual offer at all - so there was no counter that we balked at. And I am supremely confident if there was any Evans interest, it was mostly before Moore and his contract. There is no way we were interested in signing Evans for what he was looking for and the role he insisted on post Moore. He wanted lead target share and 3 years at big price tag. None of which we were ever going to give him. Also, signing Evans is drastically different than drafting a WR in the first. As far as your link goes - Again, almost all of what you are citing were just visits at the combine...before we traded for DJ Moore. Edited March 30 by Alphadawg7 Quote

The information is probably wrong. Really? You’re a great poster but that’s crazy talk. Look at what has happened and add 2 + 2. Concepcion & Bell visits along with a Boston private workout were after. We get it, you don’t want WR at 26. I’m not sure that I do (although I’m okay with it). Their actions though are showing that it is under strong consideration. It’s one of the weakest starting spots on the team currently. It’s one of the most expensive positions to fill in FA. They’ve met with all the top guys there but at no other position. Beane said today, “we are in contact with Brandin Cooks agent but we probably won’t do anything until after the draft.” Help me understand what im missing? It looks pretty obvious. 1 Quote

As we’ve discussed for months now, the Bills are not limiting themselves as to what they might select. A LB is certainly on the table. A WR is absolutely on the table (and likely the favorite based on visits). S may be an option if Thieneman gets to them. A DL or Edge could be in play too (although they’ve spent more time with the 3rd round guys there). 2 Quote

IF we can address one freaking 238+ ILB before the draft Ill be happy. Add another one in the 3rd and lets go! Quote

Shaq Thompson responded to a post yesterday that he’s trying to get back here (or something like that). I suspect, like the Cooks situation, it’s on hold until after the draft. If the Bills take CJ Allen, for example, Shaq Thompson probably isn’t coming back. If the Bills take a developmental guy on day 3, he probably is coming back. FWIW, I think Thieneman is my 2nd favorite option of the semi-realistic options. Jordan Tyson is probably ahead of him. I think those are your 2 best shots at a top talent. Oh man you may be setting yourself up for supreme disappointment. I wish I shared your optimism but I do not - they do this dance with top WR prospects every year and every year they manage to talk themselves out of it. Yes McD is gone but Moore is in, now, and I just don't know. Again I hope you're right but I am worried about you in advance, the crash is gonna be HARD. Quote
HappyDays Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Cooper, Boston, and Concepcion are all on the board when the Bills pick. This feels like the ideal scenario. Beane will have his pick of the litter or I will have the right to get mad at him when he picks a different position 😁 As far as trading back, I think Hood and Terrell being on the board gives us an opportunity. Do the Jets want to jump all of the CB needy teams at the end of the 1st round? They are loaded with draft capital this year and next, and coming away from this class with 3 1st rounders at premium positions feels like a good jump start for a badly talent deficient team. I would take their 2027 3rd rounder plus maybe a swap of 4ths this year to trade back to #33. 2 Quote
947 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 We need to hope Ty Simpson falls to our pick. That's the best chance of somebody at the top of round 2 wanting to trade back into the 1st. 1 Quote

Honestly, I don’t really like this WR class (although I’m warming to Cooper who won’t be there). I’m just reading the tea leaves. At this point, that’s the group that they’ve spent the most time with. I’m not seeing them talking to any other 1st round guys (outside of Thieneman). I suspect that will change. I don’t think that the Bills are spending their time there without considering them. This to me though feels like Beane is doing the 180 on the WR room like he did on the DL last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if 2 of the 6 WRs they they keep aren’t yet on the roster. Add DJ Moore to that and half the room will be turned over. 1 Quote
