Captain_Quint Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Sherfield will be the Shavers role. Blocking WR and special teams gunner. But he stinks as a pass catcher. 1 Quote

Adam727 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I like the two OL signings, Sherfield seems like a camp body. Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I remember only 2 things about Sherfield. The Toe Tap deflected TD in Miami. And the flat out misjudged deep ball in the KC Divisional game. He should have caught it. He had to dive because he broke too late getting of the WR. 1 Quote

Pecker Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Looking at these guys history, they both are starting caliber. Cushenberry has started 80 games, 100% of the games he has played in. Corbett has started all but 2 games he has played in since being traded to the SB winning Rams in 2019. Corbett has started at both G spots and C. these guys are nfl starters, no question. great OL depth considering we really only have one open spot. 2 Quote

He was another guy expected to do good things when brought here the last time & I think I remember him catching 1 TD the entire year he was more like the Moore signing of last season . A body but not much more than that ... He has done little to nothing since. Quote

EmotionallyUnstable Posted March 26 Posted March 26 28 minutes ago, somnus00 said: At best, Sherfield is a temporary Shavers replacement. Most likely a camp body who gets cut and has an outside shot at the p squad. No reason to have much opinion on this signing. The OL signings are at least notable and may play a depth role. Especially when the numbers come, we’ll see if there is anything guarenteed of value. It’s possible he doesn’t even make the roster and some ppl I know are like “this is ridiculous!” 1 Quote

That along with 7 drafted still makes for another 7 or so vet minimum types (not counting the 3 he just signed). Quote
H2o Posted March 26 Posted March 26 We might as well bring in Deonte Harty as well. Hell, bring back McKenzie too. Let's get the band back together. Quote

Paup 1995MVP Posted March 26 Posted March 26 1 hour ago, Kirby Jackson said: Sherfield stinks. Corbett feels like the ideal floor for LG. Cushenberry is interesting to me because he’s another C. Do they maybe try to get a pick for SVPG? Would someone give an asset for him? Agree about Sherfield. Thought he sucked for us. I don’t think he could start for a lot of college teams. Good that we brought in 2 veteran O lineman. I trust Beans a lot more w our O lineman acquisitions than WR. What about the WR we drafted a few years back and let him go, and he signed w the Giants and had some decent games back a few years back. He was much better than Sherfield. Quote
