I suspect he’s a camp body to get to 90. You're right and I forgot they signed him. I think he's a practice squad guy. Quote
oldmanfan Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Just depth. I have no idea why so many are making LG such a big deal. Anderson is more than ready to take that job over. 1 1 Quote
TheBeaneBandit Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I like it. Now get me some DJ Reader who I have been screaming for days and we can truly go BPA. 2 Quote

He caught 11 balls for 86 yards in his season here. So to recap in the last 3 NFL seasons he has caught 22 passes for 190 yards and 2 TDs. Guys have games that are better than this!! Hey I'm not saying he's some great player, I'm just saying when we signed him I liked him and I hope he does better this time. Cause you know, he's a Bill now 1 1 Quote
boyst Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Cushionberry as a swing IOL? Of course Corbett is a former panther. Quote

GASabresIUFan Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) Cushenberry is an interested signing. He has played 80 games in the NFL and started everyone of them at center. Why would a career starter sign as a backup in Buffalo? Do the Bills think he can win the starting Guard spot? Corbett started 11 games at guard last season and has started 78 games in 94 career games. Maybe Anderson isn’t getting the starting gig without a fight. Edited March 27 by GASabresIUFan 3 Quote
Flipnmi Posted March 26 Posted March 26 The 5th-6th WR is always a solid special teams contributor (ie, Shavers), so Sherfield was signed simply to compete for this role. If he shows that he can be a solid gunner and can give us anything as a receiver he's got a shot to make the 53. Shavers had 15 receptions last year, so it's not like he was a focal point of the offense, but he was a valuable component of the team. 2 1 Quote
T master Posted March 26 Posted March 26 22 minutes ago, MJS said: He was here in 2023 and had 11 catches, including a TD. His best year was 2022 in Miami. But what has he done since he was here last was he a productive part of a team or just competition/practice squad guy ? He was another guy expected to do good things when brought here the last time & I think I remember him catching 1 TD the entire year he was more like the Moore signing of last season . A body but not much more than that ... Quote
gonzo1105 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 All are going to be minimum guys who will compete for roster spots. Corbett will have the best shot. Sherfield will get considered for the last WR spot because he can play Special Teams. Cushenberry was a 3rd round pick who has struggled in the NFL. They basically took RVD salary and added these 3 for the same amount 3 Quote

ColoradoBills Posted March 26 Posted March 26 29 minutes ago, Kirby Jackson said: Bills add Lloyd Cushenberry, Austin Corbett and Trent Sherfield Corbett is a legitimate competition for LG. Cushenberry confirms that SVPG is not NFL Center material. He can't play a G position, so this camp is going to be deciding his future. Sherfield is a camp body ST guy who may find a spot on the PS. Beane has a lot more JAG Vets to sign. Have to bring 90 to camp. 2 1 Quote
KHAN Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Beane always adds some cheap, set the floor, pre-draft hole pluggers. It's like a sarcasm magnet. 1 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Both OL are actually decent I think, good depth. Bad news for Grable at OG. Quote

somnus00 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 At best, Sherfield is a temporary Shavers replacement. Most likely a camp body who gets cut and has an outside shot at the p squad. No reason to have much opinion on this signing. The OL signings are at least notable and may play a depth role. 1 1 Quote
