NewEra Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Omar Cooper Jr. He’s the dog to take this offense to the next level. Additions of Cooper and Moore will give this offense the boost we’ve been thirsting for. He’ll have a bigger positive impact than anyone available. Now we have to hope that he’s there. Who will the Bills pick, weigh in. I initially was thinking if Boston is there, we should take him. But we need a dog. Cooper is that. Another big play machine capable on all 3 levels. Needs at ILB and speedy edge rusher will have to wait if we’re lucky enough to have Cooper on the board. CJ Allen and Cashius Howell would be admirable picks, but let’s let Leonhard make do with what he has for this season and see if he can get the most out of some players that we aren’t counting on. Cook Moore Cooper Shakir Kincaid Knox Palmer Keon Ty Ray Hawes. 6 3 1 Quote
SoMAn Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) I’d be surprised if they don’t go defense with the first pick. I’d put my money on a LB or true NT. I also believe that unless there’s a player he really likes and for whom he has a first round grade, there’s a good chance Beane trades down into the second round to acquire additional picks. CEN-CAL17 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) Cooper is legit! He is slowly creeping up the boards. Outside of Lemon and Tate he could be the third WR off the board. Teams may not like Tysons injury history and Boston is not as well rounded as Cooper IMO. Cooper would be solid. I am leaning defense… CJ Allen or NT Lee Hunter. LBs are thin in this draft and so are NTs. A LB I’m starting to like is Karson Sharar Iowa. 4.56 40, 40 inch vert, good size, great tackler. LB Lander Barton Utah is another name…. 6’5” 240, Defensive Captain, Excellent dropping back into coverage. Solid Athlete, think was a potential converted TE? 1. Lee Hunter NT 3. Karson Sharar ILB/Lander Barton LB 4. Bryce Lance WR/Dillion Bell WR Georgia/Skyler Bell WR UCONN (Probably need to trade up for all these WRs to early 4th round) 5. Joshua Braun OG Kentucky Edited March 20 by CEN-CAL17 4 1 Quote
Allen2Moulds Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) I think he's going to be a good NFL player, I just don't know if he profiles as an outside WR. I also believe that we go OLB at 26. Edited March 20 by Allen2Moulds Quote
Dr. Who Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I've seen Cooper compared to DJ Moore. He could develop into his replacement a few years down the line. I like him, and he is probably the best choice for WR at 26 if he is available. I am interested in a big receiver with speed. Brazzell and Hurst are the fellas I have my eye on, but you'd likely want to trade down into the second round before taking them. If Monroe Freeling were to magically drop, I would take him and then try to trade up from 91 for receiver. This is the give the priority to the offense version of the draft that would make much of the board apoplectic. What do I think will happen? Beane is going to take CJ Allen or reach and select Josiah Trotter. 1 Quote

I hear ya- If we can trade down, I’m all for it. I’m think it may be a little tougher to trade back in this draft. If I had a choice of Cooper or trade back, I’d take Cooper. Boston or Trade back, tough choice. If both are off the board, Cashius/ CJ Allen or trade back. 1 Quote

Have a feeling he’s going to be selected. I’d 💩 if he took trotter without a trade down or 2. If we don’t take Cooper i’d be happy if we could trade around to be able to draft: Allen/Hill/Trotter/Golday/rodriguez + Branch/bernard/Brazzel/Hurst/Bell + r Mason/joseph/moore/Jacas. Pretty impossible and posting this ensures clthat we won’t draft any of them. 🤣 1 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I would love it but I don't think Beane will invest his 1st and 2nd round picks on a WR. I saw they had a private dinner and workout with Malik Benson who is a mid to late day three WR prospect. So my guess is they will take a developmental prospect late but nothing more than that. Hope I'm wrong though. 4 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Don’t know too early. WR depth will be there at 26 in my opinion with right value. I think they could still go anywhere in round 1 besides QB, RB or TE and obviously STs Quote

Clyde Smith Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I rather Beane trade back and accumulate more picks. We have a lot of holes, more prospects the better. 1 3 Quote

Its not even 2 months ago and seemed like every mock guy was on the fence about being picked in the 2nd let alone 1st rd. I honestly thought it was nuts, and I don't think it was "hes just a slot guy." Dude had a pretty nice combine 70th percentile 40yd & vertical. But I dont remember him being knocked for being slow or anything. Like bryce Lance I get why he's shooting up the boards. He was a guy who had all the tools & genetics, but was talked about in 4th-5th because they were expecting a 4.55 forty time... I can wrap my head around that penalty, Coopers was always weird to me Quote

I can wrap my head around that penalty, Coopers was always weird to me I think it’s just the draft community catching up to the NFL. He wasn’t on the preseason watch lists like Tyson or Tate so the hype is kind of new. But now the Senior Bowl and Combine is done so the media guys have been able to pick scouts brains AND the analytics have been circulating for a bit so the YouTube/Twitter guys have seen that he has the cleanest analytics profile outside of Makai Lemon and started to call him underrated. 1 4 Quote

I dont think its the year for that. What was our yield on the Keon trade back again? Just the first one (we iced back twice right?) A 4th? 5th? This feels exactly like that set up, same range, similar draft, where there were ~12 guys with a rd1 grade. People saying to trade back and pick up a 2nd are going to be majorly disappointed if thats the move. If the boards falling well to us, stay put and do your best.... or explore a move upwards for a true blue chipper. There are a few trade back options I wouldn't hate, but its because I dont want to take a guy too high. Chris Bell is a guy i see being 2nd off the board without the knee injury. I wouldn't haaaaate taking him at 26th, but moving back even to 32-33 would make it more palatable.... if we pick at 26th, and get to mid 2nd rd, id absolutely scramble to move up and be able to take him there. 3 Quote

That's my preference as well. I don't think there will be any "must have" player for the Bills at #26. I've seen one mock that projects Buffalo trading #26 for #34. There is speculation Arizona might want to get back into round 1 in order to snag Ty Simpson. #26 would be a good spot for them to do that. There is a bunch of players that Buffalo might have interest in in the closing picks of round one and a good chance one of them would drop to #34. Edited March 20 by BigAl2526 1 Quote

Getting a younger version of Deebo would be awesome and he does have that dog in him. Quote
GASabresIUFan Posted March 20 Posted March 20 The Sabres trade the 26th pick for picks …. Beane is going to want to recover a top 100 pick after trading our 2nd for Moore. The only way to do that is trading down. I love Omar Cooper, but the Bills have more needs than just WR. DL, Edge and ILB are the most obvious. 3 Quote
