vtnatefootball11 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Starting to see a lot of smoke on this. May not be true, but it's blowing up on twitter right now. And articles are starting to pop up today like the one below. We will likely know with certainty in the coming few days, but this feels like more than just speculation. Looks like it would be 2027 draft comp. Don't love the Pats getting AJ Brown but the idea of them giving up 2027 comp in a loaded 2027 draft and then potentially falling back down to earth this year is amusing. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/patriots-trading-j-brown-hot-172651579.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall 1 2 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted March 19 Posted March 19 If true, I can't knock how they build their rosters. 1 3 1 Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted March 19 Posted March 19 We'll still beat them. Benford can handle Brown and Hairston can handle Doubs. 4 1 1 Quote

Allen2Moulds Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Fix our pass rush, they still have a very shaky oline. Will Campbell and his short arms is still their starting left tackle. 2 1 Quote

Success Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I'm expecting him to be a Patriot. I just hope that the price is steep. He's declining (how much, we don't know - but he's not quite as good as he was), and I heard that the Rams backed out because of something in his medical report. There might not be as much to fear here as we initially think. 2 1 Quote
Coach Tuesday Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I look forward to Beane’s fireside chat when he tells us about the time he almost got AJ Brown. 2 1 41 2 1 Quote

Bray Wyatt Posted March 19 Posted March 19 If that is the case, they would have to be trading picks in the 2027 draft, which are move valuable imo Quote

Ecmic82 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Wondering how the perceived veracity of a rumor-spreading tweet is affected by the tweeter deleting his account later that same day. 2 1 Quote

He would have signed AJ Brown but we needed help rushing the passer and Jordan Philips knew our system and was the right move! 2 1 Quote
947 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Brown was 2nd worst in the league last year in avg yards of separation, 78th out of 79 qualified WRs. He's not the same weapon he used to be, and not worth what the Eagles want for him. I hope the Pats trade their 1st & 2nd for him. All we have to do is not press him at the line, and knock down most of the 50/50 balls that go his way. 2 1 1 Quote
