Royale with Cheese Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Very strange to me he didn't make more of a difference when he had one of the quickest get off's. Quote
SoCal Deek Posted March 19 Posted March 19 What’s odd about it to me is that it seems he’d be the poster child for the body type, mindset, and skillset that would translate well to the upcoming change in coach and defensive alignment. I mean, he certainly wasn’t thriving under the old regime. Quote

DapperCam Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Feel kinda bad for Epenesa, because he had the build to be a good 3-4 DE coming out of college, but then the Bills made him lose a bunch of weight to play 4-3 DE. Feels like that interrupted his development somewhat. 2 Quote

Captain Hindsight Posted March 19 Posted March 19 He was super athletic and had some great plays, including a few interceptions. Great at batting down the ball too. I have no issue moving on, but his time here wasn’t all bad 1 Quote
PetermansRedemption Posted March 19 Posted March 19 For 5 per, I wouldn’t have minded seeing him back. Also won’t lose any sleep over moving on from him. 1 Quote
Ballhawk Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I guess we can say goodbye to one tipped ball to himself a season! Quote

RyanC883 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Will be interesting to see him playing opposite a stud in Garrett. Quote

And this is why we don’t need him here. If Beanbag didn’t pay Rousseau that much he’s the same. Disappears for weeks. Here’s Hoping Leonhard can get Rousseau going 1 Quote

He is what he is: a totally average DE with a few above average traits, mainly his length and ability to bat down passes Quote
Sweats Posted March 19 Posted March 19 meh........can't say i'm really going to lose any sleep over this Quote
4BillsintheBurgh Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I think we're going to need a DL who can beat people 1v1. I don't think Epenesa was good at that, hence so many "I'm not going to get there anyway, let me try and knock the ball down" type plays. I think Heocht, chubb, oliver, walker and maybe Rousseau can be those guys. Jury's out on the rest for me. Quote

As if he had cinder blocks for feet. Once he got going in one direction, that was going to be it. Quote
Success Posted March 19 Posted March 19 His biggest plays for us were batted passes - but he was pretty exceptional at that, and some of those were game changers. Not a huge loss overall, though. Best of luck to him. 1 Quote

Feels like that interrupted his development somewhat. His first two years in the league he was a non-factor for the Bills because of the massive body change. Year 3 he started to show some flashes before he had a solid year 4. He came back off his rookie deal on a two year deal and he stayed a very good 3rd DE for those two seasons. But I feel like bagging his first two seasons on a massive body change was not good for his career as he never developed into anything special despite the time and patience from both sides. Quote
Jimmy Harris 69 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Now that AJ doesn’t have to stand around and do McDermott long division, he will probably get 12 sacks. Quote
