Kirby Jackson Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I didn’t like the Epenesa pick at the time and he wasn’t good early. I think he developed into a decent rotational defensive player. That price doesn’t seem too expensive. He’s a little better player than other guys that have moved on from here. He’s the kind of guy that you try to upgrade from when he gets to be cost prohibitive. This feels like a decent deal for the Browns. They get a decent player, on a good deal, with a winning pedigree. If I were a Browns fan I would feel pretty decent about this. 4 1 Quote

bearcat Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Big question...does his contract count for comp picks or does NE just get a 3rd lol Quote
bigduke6 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 no ill will wished towards AJ, he did what he did while here. made some flash plays, but more often than not, did nothing of consequence. just not consistent enough imo. gl in Cleveland AJ. Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I’m sure Beane offered a one year deal for half of what the Clowns paid him. He’ll be missed. Definitely not an Edge1, but for a depth piece, he made some big plays, and 6 1/2 sacks a season isn’t awful at all. Quote

Christian Benford, Spencer Brown, Greg Rousseau, Cole Bishop, Dion Dawkins, Ed Oliver and Connor McGovern would disagree. You may be able to add DJ Moore, Max Hairston and Bradley Chubb to that list very soon. 3 1 Quote

Stare down the barrel of a shotgun like Garret and hope to get the pass off... Or turn the other way to whoever AJE is and try to get the ball around him before your backside is knocked down by Garrett... AJE gonna have his hands on some balls this year. 1 1 1 Quote
Bad Things Posted March 18 Posted March 18 That's too bad. I also liked him as a player. Even though I like him... I liked his dad a lot more. Remember this awesome nugget when AJ was drafted by the Bills? If replaced with a non qualifying player it’s like trading him for said player and a pick. Quote
ngbills Posted March 18 Posted March 18 AJ reminds me of a guy we would sign off another team after he plays well against the Bills. Most of the time goes unnoticed. Not a guy teams have to plan around. But once in a while, will make a nice impact play and leave you wondering who is that guy. Quote

khlax3 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) Kind of glad to move on and try something different but he was not a bad pick at number 54. Are there better players we could have picked absolutely. But he was a 6 year rotational starter on a cheap contract as an edge player who gave the bills 4-5 sacks a year and 1-2 big splash plays. You could do a lot worse with pick 54 Edited March 19 by khlax3 2 1 Quote
