As you can guess, they're a pretty obvious homage to the old Oilers uniforms. Huge upgrade from the arena league-looking things that they had before, but the logo is still terrible, IMO. Thoughts? Sick jerseys. Gotta give them props. Quote

I think some of it IS to spite Houston. 12 hours ago, T.E. said: Looks just like Miami to me, with slightly different colors The facemask needs to be red and it would be really good, although I dont care for the "guitar strings" on the sleeves. 11 hours ago, Sammy Watkins' Rib said: Yep. Our new alternate uniform is truly one of the worst in the league. I'm sorry for anyone who bought or received one. Agreed, they need to burn every last one of them. 11 hours ago, Low Positive said: Why are people in Tennessee nostalgic for the color scheme of a team of which they were never a fan? 11 hours ago, Walking Tall said: But they were. They were the Tennessee Oilers the first year or two after they moved to Tennessee. I live in East TN. I was born in Rochester. The TN Oilers first season was my first in TN I live in East TN. I was born in Rochester. The TN Oilers first season was my first in TN (I was 8). The fanbase is weird. The people aren't weird, but its more like, "well there is a team in TN, so I guess that's who I like." BUT, its just different, fans in Tennessee are Volunteer fans first and foremost (if they like football). Down here its more like Bills=Volunteers & Titans=Syracuse. These uniforms are decent though. I live here, was at that game, and still do the same. I still to this day call it the "Music City Mistake", you'll never convince me that was a lateral. 1 Quote
corta765 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Soooo.. In a prism just looking at the uniforms alone without any other criteria they are very nice. They pop, the colors contrast so well, and it is a very clean appearance that will look good on the field. Here is where it gets messy.. outside of a prism when you consider they are called the titans, the team has forever embraced the Greek theme for a city that has a Greek presence to the point it is called the Athens of the South, and the Navy color has been part of their look to a solid degree it sucks. It feels like the team should be called the Tennessee Tennesseans at this point. The logo is awful minimalization which has been an atrocious style for years now in logo design and the lack of navy just to balance it a little bit makes it look unfinished. The teams history which is not awful used navy forever and now it is though it does not even exist. It is as though the team that exist for the nearly 30 years prior stopped and this is a new team that is taking the old Oilers colors and style instead. So to me I find it a let down even if the uniforms do look nice. There are a legion of concepts that exist out there which style allow for the Nashville/Tennessee focus to exist while still hinting at some Titan/Greek element and the navy that was forever part of their look. Overall it looks nice if you know nothing about the Titans, if you have any remote knowledge of the team its a major let down. Quote

Walking Tall Posted March 16 Posted March 16 If you squint your eyes they could be the Dolphins. Quote
loedward22 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 They got the colors right but messed up the striping. It could have been great. Quote
RyanC883 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 LOVE THIS. Like a "slightly" updated Oilers jersey. They should sell a Warren Moon version. Quote
Jay_Fixit Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I also love how Kyle Brandt was the host of the reveal. Still one of the most cringy moments I’ve had in my 37 years as a Bills fan when he announced a draft pick. The only thing worse would be if Lil Mo Mozzarella did it. Quote
Old Coot Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I always liked the Oilers powder blue unis, just not for a football team. Quote
