Bills fan since 87 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 (edited) Just curious to which the members look forward to more. The draft is obviously important and it is interesting to me, for some of day 1. However the schedule release day has always been much more fun. The leaks that start dropping keep me engaged. Also, once the schedule is released I can start planning my fall and predicting wins and losses. I think the majority will vote draft, but with the draft there is really so much unknown until the season begins and then beyond. Once the top ten picks are done the draft gets boring for me. I just check in on the Bills alerts. However once the schedule comes out I comb over not only the Bills schedule but the holiday games, division rivals schedules, weekend night games and so on. So, just curious. What's bigger for you? NFL draft or schedule release day? Edited March 12 by Bills fan since 87 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted March 12 Posted March 12 (edited) The draft by miles and miles and miles. I generally travel to a couple away games each year but those destinations are already known. It’s just a matter of “when.” I look to see how late I have to stay up a few times a year. 😂😂 The draft is infinitely more interesting than the release of dates. Maybe the schedule release would close the gap (a little) if we had no idea who the opponents were. If it looked like a World Cup Draw I could get into it. It would still be the draft but that would be fun. Edited March 12 by Kirby Jackson 2 1 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted March 12 Posted March 12 (edited) Schedule release day affects my plans for the entire fall. The draft affects maybe 1-2 actual positions on the team and that’s only if Beane drafts well Edited March 12 by Bills!Win! 1 Quote
Gregg Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Draft over the schedule release day for me. With the new stadium I hope the Bills first home game is against the Jets since that will give the Bills a great chance to open the new place with a win. Quote
Cash Posted March 12 Posted March 12 The nice thing about schedule release day is that I can compare the schedule to my calendar and start planning on which games I might attend. That’s fun! But it’s not an event. I tried watching the “schedule release show” once and lasted about 5 minutes. I didn’t understand how anyone could sit through that, to be honest. The draft, on the other hand, is an event, and one I still quite enjoy. I don’t think it’ll ever get back to the appeal it had for me as a 2-day, not in primetime event back in the day. But it’s still worth my time and attention. Quote
