co_springs_billsfan Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Whatever! Was Nick Chubb not available or something!? Quote
BillyJoeBills Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Chubb's coming in as a released player; Phins saved 30M plus in cap space this yr but why didn't they resign him like our team just did? Do the know something like his medicals? Quote

This team has a ton of needs to defense and can’t spend it all plus draft picks on a guy like Crosby. 1 Quote

dgrochester55 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 (edited) I wasn't thinking about Chubb, so like Alford, the reaction is neutral. The key with all of the signings is whether or not they fit the new system and have durability. If they can avoid the trap of defenses from the previous years and not be so worn down that they are just standing around and watching our opponents score 30-50 points a week by December, I don't care who we sign. ColoradoBills Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Chubb has played in 1 playoff game. It was against Buffalo and he had a sack and a forced fumble. Maybe playing on a decent team will get his passion back and he plays a full game for the Bills every week. 7 Quote

Walking Tall Posted March 11 Posted March 11 (edited) Thank you John Elway for both Josh and now, Bradley. You’ve given us all a Chubb. Edited March 11 by Walking Tall 2 1 Quote

Sierra Foothills Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Complainers don't have the right to complain about the cost because if we didn't sign him, the next highest bidder would have... the price is the price. Because he was released by the Dolphins, his signing doesn't adversely affect the compensatory pick formula. He didn't play in 2024 due to recovering from an ACL but in 2023 and 2025 (his last 2 seasons) he had 19.5 sacks, plus 19 TFLs, plus 42 QB hits in 33 games. This is an excellent signing. 9 2 1 2 Quote

BigAl2526 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Sensible signing. He's a good fit as an outside LB in a 3-4 and has played there. Was injured in 2024, but played a full season this past year with 8 1/2 sacks. 3 Quote

Success Posted March 11 Posted March 11 This isn't something I was expecting - it's a very good pickup. When healthy, he's a great player. I'd rather this than trading draft capital for Crosby. 5 Quote
T.E. Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I'm glad they are trying to improve a weak spot, but it's hard to get past the fact that we've played this guy a ton, and I've never been worried about going against him or even thought about him during the games. 1 1 Quote
