He signed the offer on the 18th. That means the Bills have until Sunday. But the league office is closed on Sunday, so it automatically means they have until Monday.

Bills not matching per Tom P.

I think this gives some clarity to the Bills o line situation now. Looks like Grable will be the swing tackle regardless if he wins LG or not. Anderson wins the LG, Grable is the swing tackle. Grable wins LG , Grable moves out and Anderson moves in. Lundt will be inside outside as well

I also think this team will be looking at a mid-round pick at tackle. I think probably the reason they let VDM go is because it would be a one year rental anyway and they probably feel comfortable with Grable short term the next two years and likely want to open up a spot to develop a draft pick who can be here beyond this season. Still would have kept him given the departure of a starter in Edwards, Dawkins getting older, and Kromer leaving as O-line coach now losing your swing tackle added to the mix.

But you gotta have some faith in the guys that are in the building and have done a very good job with the O-line the past 3 seasons.

There are also a number of backup, swing type tackles you could sign for something like between the minimum and like 2 million if that’s something they want to do.

I wish RVD well, but with the way things have gone in free agency this was a big overpay. He basically becomes the highest paid backup tackle in the league.

This has Bean written all over it, we will be week 13 with injuries on the OL, not running the ball great and struggling in protection and that will be holding us back—somehow the defense will be healthy for the first time and playing good.

We know that guy, we like that guy, we’re going for the Super Bowl and $700k lets him walk?

There are a bunch of mid-round draft prospects with intriguing OT/IOL flex..

Thinking of Jude Bowry, maybe Drew Shelton, or even early on with Proctor rd 1, Dunker rd 2 (no pick currently), etc. Really stocked pond for swing/flex guys. The college OT > pro IOL pipeline is alive and well.

They need to look at LT for the future. Especially if drafting mid rounds. If it is to replace RVD ? I would look for a player much later.
