Welp, Crosby is available. Here would be my offer: we trade the 26th overall pick, our earliest fifth round pick,  and our 2027 3rd round pick for the Raiders’ second round pick (36th overall) and Crosby. He is guaranteed $30 million if he is on the Raiders’ roster at 4 pm and he is quite literally going to be perceived as potentially damaged goods right now.

Based on everything put out there, it seems this was the higher percentage probability. Now Beane gets to spend other places with all that money he didn't spend! to all the amazing FAs left...

Exactly what I was complaining about yesterday to little avail

Messing about on a maybe wth Hendrickson and could have just signed up Chenal or Elliss, Blankenship or Gilman, and Onyemata and have money left over. And just be left with edge to deal with.

Now we have no edge and multiple remaining holes, which will be filled with 3rd rate options as the top guys are now mostly gone. Again.

No one cares about reputation anymore.  It’s about winning… and that’s all.

It definitely matters to other GMs

I'm not talking about fan reputation, only functional business relationships.

If you are an NFL GM right now, you doing a deal with the Ravens?

How's it gonna be for "winning" next time they want to make a deal? They will get passed up for another offer. That's why I said I hope they enjoy him, because it's probably the last time they get to pull this grift.

Would have been nice, but the Bills weren't going to pay anywhere near a contract like that, however, the Ravens should be investigated for their part in this.

Real, real greasy.

I'm missing something. What is the advantage of pretending to a deal with Crosby only to back out and sign Hendrickson? Why not just sign Hendrickson and dispense with the shenanigans?

I know the whole failed physical upends things and we can debate whether that’s valid or not, but Hendrickson is not Crosby..

Maxx is elite.  Hendrickson is a great pass rusher who’s meh against the run.

Both have injury concerns.

Hendrickson with injury concerns and only money invested makes more sense than Maxx with injury concerns and all

the draft capital sent out.

But if both are healthy, Crosby clears Hendrickson by a mile.

If Beane signs Crosby and he goes down with a knee injury...he is done.

Not sure he can risk it tbh

This team doesn't need another Von Miller, especially for draft picks. Beane should have pulled the trigger on Hendrickson yesterday.

What a scumbag move. Every team should boycott doing business with Baltimore. Scumbags running a business.

I get the money but after whining for multiple years in Cincy and then knowingly stabbing a fellow player in the back, Hendrickson has a role in this too.  He’s a dirt bag.  He didn’t do anything technically wrong but he probably isn’t too popular with his NFL “brothers”.  His agent isn’t going to be very respected either.  I hope the Bills weren’t in negotiations because the guy isn’t all that great, but there were teams negotiating.  I imagine they’re pissed.  The teams are probably more pissed at the Ravens than the player but still.

Every teams the league is likely angry with the Ravens because of the ripple effects and opportunity costs.  Teams allocated real dollars and negotiated based on the idea that Hendrickson was available and Crosby was not.

The difference between the two is worth no where near two first round picks.

Somebody, somewhere in Baltimore sudenly grew a brain...why send two first-round picks for a 31-year-old guy when you can spend only money for one?

should thought of that before trashing your reputation.  Its  $#@! Move and everyone knows it
