Sadly, he’s an upgrade for them. This makes sense for the Jets although I probably would have tried to be worse at QB. 😂😂 They weren’t drafting one this year and have 3 firsts next year. That’s when they’re getting their guy. I have no idea why they want to win a single game this year. They can add a bunch of young talent this year and then Arch next year if they fail correctly. The Jetsiest thing to do is trade for Geno, who bounces back a little and you win 6 games. Despite having 3 firsts, in a great QB draft, no one wants to trade up with you and you select the 5th QB of the 1st round.

Geno gets revenge on the Jet's by winning like 10 games.  Would be amazing.

For everyone crapping on this move, I don't like this.  It makes the Jets better. Geno was in an utterly horrid situation with the Raiders last year.  I understand the Jets aren't a good team, but now Geno has Breece Hall in the backfield, Mason Taylor as a good young Tight End, an Elite WR in Garrett Wilson and a really talented young WR in Adonai Mitchell.

I'm not saying the Jets are going to contend for the division, but this makes them a better team.  If this is Geno Smith from 2-3 years ago, you get QB play that's probably better than anything the Jets have had in maybe a decade, if not more.

Hey, I'm hoping that they are now good enough to sweep the Dolphins and Patriots.😁

So who will start?

Geno or Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor or Brendon Hooker or Brady Cook or Bailey Zappe?

🤮

It’s times like this I just appreciate Josh more and more. Being in QB purgatory was a terrible experience for so many years. I don’t feel bad for Jets fans, they had Darnold and threw him away and idolized Mike White. I just appreciate Josh even more.

So, what I’m taking from this is that both these guys have approximately the same value.  :)

This is maybe the most hilarious thing I've seen in my life.  I would turn in my fan card from this type of move.  Just...wow.

I love this for Geno Smith, and I hope he gets some redemption. In a perfect world, the Jets finish second in the division with him at the helm.

They'll finish 2nd alright.   2nd last.  In the league.

I don't understand the Jets' strategy.

They were probably looking at former Jets #3 overall from 2018, Sam Darnold, winning a Super Bowl, and started crying...

Let's try it ourselves 🤣

I want them to win enough games for them to ruin their 2027 draft position. Otherwise, F that team and fanbase.

Anybody who can fog a mirror is an upgrade over Justin fields.  Fields is the worst quarterback I have seen since I started watching the nfl in 83.

he literally just stood there with the ball last year.

I don't mind if he makes the Jets better. Hopefully they win enough games to will keep them from drafting Arch Manning or another 1st round QB.

He was so incredibly bad last year it's hard to comprehend.

And now to a live look at Geno Smith’s draft class buddy, EJ Emmanuel, for his reaction:

Is that really EJ?  Looks like he's not ready to get off the couch and write his personal redemption story with the Bills.  Nothing like the NFL for interesting story lines.

I hope he’s learned to pay up! New Jersey can be a rough place for guys who don’t pay up. But….I guess he knows that.
