somnus00 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Jets can't decide if they want to be a re-build team, or a 7 - 10 (stuck in limbo) team. So they're doing a little of both. 1 Quote
Albany,n.y. Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Raiders to Jets: He got us the 1st pick in the draft; he can do the same for you. Jets to Raiders: That's an offer we can't refuse. The march for Arch begins! 1 Quote
Nihilarian Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Geno back with the Jets 😂 Funny stuff, Daniel Jones was offered by the Colts what the Seahawks gave Sam Darnold last year, and he turned it down. He wants 50 mill per despite the Achilles injury. Quote
Green Lightning Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Times like this you have to remember they were once us...and then there came Josh. God, I hope he plays for 20 years. 1 Quote

That was my second thought. My first thought was buried in laughter. My third thought? They finally paid the right market price for him. I'll look forward to seeing him twice next year. Quote
Nihilarian Posted March 10 Posted March 10 So who will start? Geno or Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor or Brendon Hooker or Brady Cook or Bailey Zappe? 🤮 1 Quote

They will suck again and try to find their future FQB in the 2027 draft. The Raiders are taking Mendoza at #1 and there isn't another QB in the 2026 class worth taking at #2 I think the interesting thing is Gino can probably get them to win about 5 or 6 games... maybe 7 like just good enough to keep them from getting their QB next year... 1 Quote

God, I hope he plays for 20 years. As bad as the drought era was for us, the Jets may have had it worse recently. More wasted talent, numerous bust QB's including two who resurrected their careers after. The season which had the most hope resulted in their QB getting injured for the year five plays in. We had low talent, but players who usually played hard, they have good talent on paper which underachieves and tends to mail it in. At least Buffalo had a few exciting years, near misses, players that were fun to watch like Fitzy, Kyle Williams and Stevie Johnson and a few hopeful starts in that era, Jets on the other hand have had more God awful years with no redeeming qualities. The only thing that may have been worse for us was the frustration of the constant beatings from the Pats, I don't think that they have had anything that consistently frustrating for that long.. I think they cut bait with Fields though. Quote

transplantbillsfan Posted March 10 Posted March 10 For everyone crapping on this move, I don't like this. It makes the Jets better. Geno was in an utterly horrid situation with the Raiders last year. I understand the Jets aren't a good team, but now Geno has Breece Hall in the backfield, Mason Taylor as a good young Tight End, an Elite WR in Garrett Wilson and a really talented young WR in Adonai Mitchell. I'm not saying the Jets are going to contend for the division, but this makes them a better team. If this is Geno Smith from 2-3 years ago, you get QB play that's probably better than anything the Jets have had in maybe a decade, if not more. Quote

BillyJoeBills Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Jets advising all players not to lend money to Geno, not because he doesn’t pay it back, but because they can’t afford another broken jaw again! Quote
