There aren't many of the LBs we need I the NCAA ranks anymore. In all honesty a Brandon Spikes would be more than an upgrade on this team.

Hard noses big LB's aren't there anymore.  College players are all smaller thin athletic than mass and power these days.

I mean how big do we want the guy?  Most LBs range anywhere from 220-240, but i don't really remember them being consistently much heavier than that.

Give me a violent LB in the draft, and a different vet than greenlaw..

If Jacob Rodriguez was still there in the 3rd round, which the "experts" say is possible, I would be thrilled. I would even be ok with a trade up in the third round just to make sure.

He was so productive at Texas Tech; I am honestly surprised that he is not projected higher.

For MLB you want at least 240 and up to 260. They gotta be able to take a hit and be built right. Jack can be big, too. 17 yr old IL. Tremaine Edmunds is a good example and has 32 years NFL experience. He is a big guy who can take a lick.

Well see what in on turns into. I mean he's older and past his prime so the pieces seem to fit.

He's 29, still young but has an extensive injury history.

Seems like they are collecting 28-31-year-old guys for this Josh window.

Here is the question. There seems to be this thought that Jim Leonhard has his guys and his system. But he has only been coaching in the league for two years. Does he really have his guys? Or even guys that from his system?

That's an absolute rarity in today's NFL. Most are between 230lbs-240lbs. Roquan Smith is about 235lbs. Patrick Queen the same. Fred Warner is 230lbs. Kaden Elliss is 240lbs. Strnad is 235lbs. Singleton is 240lbs. Bobby Wagner is 240lbs. Nick Bolton is 237lbs. Ray Lewis played at about 240lbs every year. Leo Chenal is the outlier at 250lbs. That's probably the largest ILB you will see now days, but he is an athletic anomaly. We need physical guys in the 230lb-240lb range.

And most of those guys you are listed are banged up quickly, miss time, don't play an entire series, etc.

I get what you are saying and don't disagree. My point is that we need the right guys at MLB who are built tough and may only play limited reps.

Looking at nfl teams that are running a 3-4 defense….lretty nuch every team is running MLBs that are 230-240.  Which MLbs are 250+?

Those guys are nonexistent now. You don't see any LB's that big anymore, unless they are standup edge rushers.
