I also don’t really want Trey Hendrickson - would rather draft TJ Parker and / or Derrick Moore.

But i felt like getting a good LB in free was the move. I don’t think anyone of the caliber i was hoping for at that position is available now.

Could be available in the draft in round 3.4.5

Give me a violent LB in the draft, and a different vet than greenlaw..

There aren't many of the LBs we need I the NCAA ranks anymore. In all honesty a Brandon Spikes would be more than an upgrade on this team.

Hard noses big LB's aren't there anymore.  College players are all smaller thin athletic than mass and power these days.

I could easily be mistaken because I don't follow the draft as much as I did years ago, but I thought I saw some of the top prospects were a bit bulkier than drafts of late.

I’d do it

Didn’t they already cut greenlaw? How are you feeling? How do you trade a guy that got cut unless you’re Taron Johnson.

They didn’t cut him yet. They have to decide by Saturday

I wouldn't doubt that but also not sure we need to go LB with our #1 pick. A brand new defense we would need a guy to take over as a leader and step up off the bat. Big ask in a new defense.

Yep, that's the one.

If you can finagle it so there's not a group behind you, you can open the cooler and have fun for an hour on that tee block.

Did you grow up around here?

Clarion, but drove to Tionesta quite a bit

There are 4-5 who weigh at or close to 250, a few 250+.  They are there, gotta pick the right one.

which players were you referring to?

I’ve only seen 2 (other than styles, who is out of reach) that weigh 240+.  Jack Kelly and Danny Stutsman weigh 240 and 243.  Maybe there are some late day 3 guys that weigh 250, but no one we are hoping can play this year.

I think the closest you could get to a bigger type linebacker is probably Logan Wilson or Jack Gibbens. Both go 240 plus and are likely available pretty cheaply. Both are instinctive guys. Gibbens comes with an intimate knowledge of Mike Vrabel's defense. Logan Wilson has had the best career so far. Wilson was released and Gibbens was non-tendered so neither count toward the comp pick formula. Greenlaw is better than both, but if you want a bit more size these guys give you that. All have experience in stack style defenses.

Also, isnt Josh familiar with Logan as they were college teammates?

Wasn’t Wilson Josh’s college teammate? Once they add him and Christian Kirk, Josh’s quest for friendship domination will be complete!!

CJ Allen, Jacob Rodriguez (Even though he won all kinds of awards, he was credited with 42 missed tackles over the last two season. 22 in 2024 and 20 in 2025. Makes me nervous, but a good player), Anthony Hill (work in progress), and Josiah Trotter will be the ones we can possibly get our hands on. Jake Golday is not as violent really, but is a solid prospect none the less and he played well against the best teams on their schedule (Iowa St, Utah, Arizona, and BYU). There is another guy I may be higher on than others, and that's Bryce Boettcher out of Oregon. I really like that kid. I think he flies all over the and loves to hit people. He also seems to have a decent football acumen and has a way of sifting through the traffic in front of him.
