Jerry Hughes was the last 1 to get a sack, truly unacceptable and we had a bunch of playoff games Be great if the other team has a 3rd and 20 and we could be reasonably comfortable that we could make a stop. 1 1 Quote
Augie Posted March 10 Posted March 10 It was Brady’s offense last year, and it will be Brady’s offense this year. The difference will be we should have a boundary/deep threat at WR. Just briefly adding Cooks or Amari Cooper showed that it looks different if the defense has to cover the entire field. That doesn’t mean it’s a brand new offense, it’s just taking advantage of additional threats all over the field. 1 1 Quote

In Carmichaels time I noticed the TE was either #1 or #2 in receptions. If Kincaid can stay healthy, he will be All Pro in this scheme. Look for Moore and Kincaid to both possibly break 1000 yards as Allen throws for 4500 or so. One thing that I found interesting, their running yardage for a few years was divided among 4 RB's or so. Until Alvin Kamara came along. What's interesting is Kamara has several 800 yard seasons rushing, but also several 80 catch seasons out of the backfield as well. Can you imagine using Cook like that? Cook needs to be hitting the Jugs machine this offseason Reggie bush, Pierre Thomas, sproles and kamara have all very much been pass catchers. I would be curious if with a couple drops maybe McD was less interested in feeding cook passes or if that’s a Brady thing. I think we see a few more shot plays and then from there maybe find out a bit about specific wrinkles or players Edited March 10 by NoSaint Quote

gjv Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I believe that the Offense will play well. I have concerns about our defense. Switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 or 3-4 hybrid will have it's challenges. From my perspective the main challege will be fitting the new defensive scheme to the current roster, such that the scheme fits the players strengths.. Plus, I don't know if we have the type of players for the new defensive scheme. Case in point, I don't think we have a true nose tackle on the defensive roster, yet. I'm sure our GM and coaches will address all these issues. But I'm thinking our Offense is going to have to carry the team again this coming season. GO BILLS!!! Quote
4BillsintheBurgh Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I think Joe will be less worried about establishing the running game, although I do hope that he does stick with it. I always got the feeling the McD wanted to use the run to control the game and bleed clock but I don't think Brady will have the same philosophy. I hope Brady doesn't try to prove how smart he is and just stays within the framework of what is successful. He will have the comm this year, no one to override his decisions. Quote
