Get paid, Buddy!

Great player but it was always a long shot to re-sign him. He took less money to play here and it worked out for him and the team.

It will be nice to never have to say "F'ing Edwards again!" during the middle of a game.

And we already have practice cursing out Anderson so should be a smooth transition for all.

My nightmare offseason would have been McGovern and Edwards signing with the Pats.  Bills signing McGovern and losing Edwards was best we were going to do. Slot in Anderson in Edwards spot, line is set and still have decent depth even without draft or FA.

You aren't kidding.

I'm praying somebody steps up and keeps him out of a starting role. 🙏

But who?  SVP is a center only, I think

A few things

- Glad he got paid

- He didn’t sign with an AFCE team or AFC rival

- Comp picks baby

Happy for him to get his 💵. That’s a terrible deal for the Saints but a good deal for the Bills comp picks.

It's a fair deal if you need a guard.

He’s a fine OG. He’s not a $15M a year guy but that’s the world in 2026. I get why both sides did the deal but that’s not a deal I’d want on my books.

This is exactly right. Well said

In '23, when McG was at LG, Edwards was the sixth lineman in jumbo packages (which I think we played more than any other team in the league at the time). When McG moved over to center, Edwards stepped into LG pretty seamlessly. I suspect that will be the case with Alec Anderson.

Good for Edwards on getting a decent payday. But, I have to believe his production will fall off in NO. The O-line works as a unit, and there's a big difference between being flanked by Dion Dawkins, and Connor McGovern, and whomever they end up with in NO. They were ranked 25th last season with LT Kelvin Banks, and C Eric McCoy.

He’s a fine 15 million aav guard if your team isn’t cap strapped and can afford a guard who’s a little overpaid.

Not unexpected but the Bills are losing some key pieces today.

Not really.  TJ was slipping the last two year sand we pick swapped from 7th to a 6th.  We get finally another #1 WR, and Edwards was excellent, but not worth $15.25 mil. Per yr. And kept the Center at less who's even better at $13 mil.

We are retaining 4 of our 5 starters at the line, and gained a WR.  As far as Samuel and Rapp, they became a joke.  Good Rittens.  I’ll be really happy if we can just add one more WR.

Waddle, Waddle, Waddle.

He certainly was outstanding for the Bills but we thought they’d lose he and Mcgovern. They signed the guy who plays the more premium position and to a lesser contract. It hurts to lose a  player of his caliber but the team was prepared for this. They are deep on the O line. I am confident they’ll be able to transition to Anderson or Grable or VPG without falling apart. Good for him scoring $60M, too!

The Gilliam signing was a surprise to me. I thought Trubisky was likely going to go (not this soon) and Edwards was definitely signing elsewhere today.

Happy for Edwards; knew the Bills couldn’t keep both he and McGovern and glad they kept the C.  I realize I might be in the minority here but I don’t think Gilliam’s loss significantly impacts the Bills’ fortunes in 2026.
