TOTAL TDS

Looking at total TDs, Brady leads the way with 677 in 335 games played (2.02/game).

As of this moment, Allen has 301 TDs in 128 games (2.35/game).

To this point in his career, Allen is scoring at a rate that has never been seen in the history of the NFL.  He is already 19th all time and, with another 40+ TD season this year, will move passed Elway for 14th all time already.

So yeah.....if Allen stays healthy and wants to play as long as possible, he can set a new standard.  Based on averages, Allen would need to play another 9-10 years to pass Brady for the all time lead.  It's a long time to play, obviously, but if he does and stays healthy and productive, he absolutely can get there.

TOTAL YARDS

Brady has 90,402 in 335 games played (269.8/game)

Allen has 34,842 in 128 games played (272.2/game)

This one may not be as easy to get to because Allen has relied on his legs a lot more than Brady has to this point in his career.  That said, as Allen gets older, I expect his passing yards to increase while his rush yards decrease.  But we are hopefully 5 years away at least from that changing substantially.  It's not like Allen has a ton of designed runs called per game.  He gets most of his rush yards on scrambles so, providing he stays healthy, he's probably good to keep his rush yardage total about where it has been at least for another 5 years or so.  Hopefully much longer!

So, all that said, history awaits Allen.  If he stays healthy and wants to play another decade, he'll have the opportunity to rewrite the record books as much as he wants to.  We just got to get this man a couple of Super Bowls to round out his all time resumé.

If he goes another 10 years and stays with Buffalo, that would mean 40 years straight of either Brady or Allen for Jets and Dolphins fans.

Per AI: Quarterbacks are generally excluded from all-time NFL scoring lists because "points scored" in official statistics only credits the player who physically scores the touchdown (receiver or runner) or kicks the ball (kickers). While QBs earn "passing touchdowns" for throwing the ball, these are tracked separately from "total points scored" to avoid double-counting the six points for a single touchdown.

Adam Vinatieri has the most points scored all-time with 2,673 points.

If QBs were included in scoring, Josh would currently be at 1,806 points. He'd pass Vinatieri in 4 seasons. But, of course that is not how total points scored works and doesn't include other QBs. For instance, Tom Brady scored 4,062 points. So, untechnically, Josh would still need 10 seasons to catch Brady (at Josh's current pace), but of course, that would not be an official stat.

that's just Allen being a bozo. Way too many times last year Allen took 15+ yard sacks. It was like watching Allen from his first three seasons in the league. We need 2024 Allen to come back. That Allen had career low rushing attempts per game and still had 12 rushing TD's on the season. The tush push has taken Allen's floor on rushing TD's from around 7-8 to 10-12.

Under Brady, his passing TD's have plummeted. And they were tailing off even before Brady. He's thrown fewer TD's than the season prior dating back to 2020 when he had his career high of 37.

If the Bills continue to be a balanced team, I'm not holding my breath for 30+ passing TD's.

Not sure I would call him a bozo but he definitely released incomplete passes for sacks last year.  His completion parentage was up and throw away were way down.

I want to see more PASSING TD's.  With his skillset he needs to hit about 40 a season.  As for the running, did you see all his injuries this year?  The Running needs to be dialed down a lot.  If the play isn't there throw it away, don't run 30 yards backwards and break your foot.

His big injury was running backwards out of the pocket trying to avoid a sack on a pass play.

And on the 40 TD thing, only one QB got to 40 in 2025, three in 2024, none in 2023, and only one in 2022. Throwing for 40 TDs every year is not really a reasonable ask. You're basically asking for Josh Allen to be the best passing QB of all time in a time in the NFL when passing is down and running is up, and traditional pocket passing has been replaced with dual threat QBs.

A more reasonable ask would be, like, 30 to 35 a season, and that would still have him as one of the best passers every single year.

Josh has a total of 40TDs every season for the past four seasons prior to 2025.    I think very few people have thrown for 40TDs in a season.

I agree. 40 plus passing a season is not realistic.
