Negotiation. I do think CMcG would have gotten that 15mil + on Monday. 3rd highest center deal today is shows he’s valued… but it will be jumped by a couple centers this week.

I have to wonder if his comments to the athletic about being willing to take less to stay in Buffalo is what got things rolling on this deal.

Seems very plausible to me. Before that, his last comments to the media were about wanting to maximize his value (or something along those lines). So Beane may have just felt there was no chance the Bills could afford him until he saw what McGovern said to Tim Graham.

Good news

do we have enough for dobbs, a DT and the chiefs linebacker?

They’ll restructure DJ Moore, Josh, Something with Knox and still have Dion if need be.  They’ll have money to spend

Yeah but guess what, the cap is going up aggressively every year and AVERAGE players are getting $10M APY at every position.

This is a steal, you just don’t know it yet.

Beane reminding everyone that he's not the clown some media and fans make him out to be.

So far it’s been a great start to the offseason.  DJ is a great fit yeah the pick sucks to lose but that’s the going rate for proven WR talent

Sure as the salary cap isn’t really real. Will be a lot of competition for doubs though. I think they’re more interested in shaheed cuz of everything he can do.

the likely scenario though is resign cooks cheap and a wr in rd 4

Yep in a couple years he’ll be just inside top 10 paid centers.  Great deal for the Bills

Way less than I thought we could get him back for, and that was before guys started randomly retiring all over the place.

Yeah i doubt they’ll be in on Dobbs… I wouldn’t mind seeing Cooks come back on a one year deal or a guy like Tyquan Thorton

I thought he was going to be around $17m a year.  Great deal for the Bills and takes away a high quality center from the many suitors he had.

Kinda cool to scroll X and see so many opposing fanbases upset McGovern is off the market.

Lots of respect for him around the league.
