Imagine being the Jets and having to choose between, Wentz, Geno (please bring him back!!!), Tua, MUrray and Jacoby Brissett.

Poor Frank....

Gross list and Jets will be terrible again next year and yet all those options would still be an upgrade from Fields.

Baker, Darnold, Daniel Jones, even Geno Smith got a second chance.  I think Turbisky will get his.  The lack of QBs available plays into this, but he did look good managing Brady’s offense in spot duty.  There were times this past season where we had such a “game manager” gameplan, asking so little of our QB, that  I thought Turbisky could execute it just as well as Allen.

Arizona or Minnesota, even the Jets or Miami could be potential landing spots for him.

Pittsburgh gave him his second chance and it didn't go well.

With Matt Canada as OC, who hasn’t had an NFL job since he was fired

Ive always thought Trubisky got a raw deal in Chicago and would do well with a good opportunity. If im the Vikings, Trubisky would be high on my list

Backup quarterback to Josh Allen is the best job in the world

Shoot, Mitch will flame out with any bad team that wants him to be a bridge starter anyways so might as well get paid with no pressure

Maybe he wants to play. Maybe he wants more money. Look at what Geno Smith got paid and Trubisky is a much better player.

But Trubisky could ride in and save the day!

That's my assessment as well, but your assessment has more football chops behind it so can you say more?

Trubisky got a 2nd chance with Pittsburgh after the Bears and flamed out, certainly.  But back in da day with da Bears, in 2018 (2nd year) and 2019 (3rd year), I thought he looked serviceable as a starter under Mark Helfrich and Matt Nagy (not so much under Dowell Loggains or Bill Lazor).

I had him pegged as a Sam Bradford type of QB - a guy who could win games and play decently in the right system with the right coaching support and a decent run game and defense.  I was surprised by how bad he looked in Pittsburgh.

Do you mean third chance?

Yeah, it would be a 3rd chance

Mitch needs to take a big paycut to keep his job IMO. If not what is Matt Barkley up to these days?

I’ll never forget Barkley coming in off the street and slaughtering the Jets.

“Bills could win 11 games with Mitch” is still one of my favorites lol

seriously?? He’s one of the cheapest veteran backups in the league the past 2 seasons.

I really wish his name was Turbisky. We could do so much with that.

Not cheap enough. Wouldn’t mind seeing a mid round rookie on the cheap as a backup and use the $2million we are paying Mitch somewhere else.

Bingo was his name o.  He’s best set holding a clipboard for the next 7-9 years, and making a nice amt of $.  He can come in on spot duty for Josh whether we’re killing a team, or he plays the last game of the year after a series from Josh to keep his streak going.  Not a bad way to make $7 mil. Per yr. For the next 7-9 years.  He’s made nice $, and now with JA’s endurance, he can enjoy being almost a player coach.  The Bills PS squad guy could be a young late pick for developmental reasons.

I guess if you assign zero value to backup QB, you could find that idea appealing.

if you simply want to save 2 million, dump Hamlin, or Gilliam or Sam Franklin or…
