Pecker Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Baker, Darnold, Daniel Jones, even Geno Smith got a second chance. I think Turbisky will get his. The lack of QBs available plays into this, but he did look good managing Brady’s offense in spot duty. There were times this past season where we had such a “game manager” gameplan, asking so little of our QB, that I thought Turbisky could execute it just as well as Allen. Arizona or Minnesota, even the Jets or Miami could be potential landing spots for him. 2 5 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I think Buffalo wants him back but yes I’m sure he wants to play still as well. He’s probably looking at a better backup option or bridge spot if it’s available. He knows he has a spot here if it doesn’t happen and Beane probably told him that but will let him explore best opportunity 1 Quote
Buffalo716 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Backup quarterback to Josh Allen is the best job in the world Shoot, Mitch will flame out with any bad team that wants him to be a bridge starter anyways so might as well get paid with no pressure 2 2 Quote

Mr. WEO Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Imagine being the Jets and having to choose between, Wentz, Geno (please bring him back!!!), Tua, MUrray and Jacoby Brissett. Poor Frank.... Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted March 6 Posted March 6 It would be nice to spend less on a backup QB. That said Mitch made one hell of a throw in the game that Josh broke his nose. Came in cold and converted a 3rd down if I recall correctly. Mitch had his chance #2 and was awful with the Steelers. Now it took 4 teams for Darnold to look competent. Maybe the same for Mitch. 2 Quote
wppete Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Mitch needs to take a big paycut to keep his job IMO. If not what is Matt Barkley up to these days? 1 1 Quote

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I don’t think there is a market for him. He already had his second chance in Pittsburgh. 1 1 Quote
947 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 The only way he gets another shot at starting is if it's a terrible team like the Jets, or a team in cap hell like the Cardinals or Dolphins. He can definitely get more money than the Bills could pay, if that's what he wants. I wouldn't mind just drafting a QB like Nussmeier or Allar late. Quote
SoCal Deek Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I’m going to leave it up to the new Head Coach. If anyone knows Mitch’s capabilities, Joe Brady does. 3 Quote
billsfan89 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Probably his best shot will be as a mentor to a high pick in a true competition. But that’s a longer shot in my opinion for him. I hope he’s back in Buffalo for the time being. Quote
Mikie2times Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I don't think Mitch is looking for another shot like that. Quote
Zag20 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Let’s turn this into a poll. He gets another shot, Ture or false 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I think there is a chance. People are going to pay a 1 year bridge type starter big money to get them to the 2027 draft and he shredded the Jets. The Jets should actually sign him. Not sure if he’d want to go there. If I’m him I go to Arizona, play in that dome with LaFluer and throw to Wilson, McBride, and Harrison Jr. 2 1 Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted March 7 Posted March 7 You can do a lot worse at backup than Mitch. If he gets another shot to start, power to him. If we can bring him back, great. If I could offer what I’d personally try….I think Richardson has that unexplainable “IT factor” that you look for. I think his skill set is out of this world and in the right spot he could end up being incredible. I’d love to take the chance on him being Josh’s long term backup. It’s very low risk and insanely high reward. He can do the things that young Josh did. More so than anyone else. He doesn’t do them often enough but I’d be very willing to roll the dice Quote
