Process Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Paying a declining player $10M to experiment at a new position (S) never made any sense. This was the right move. 3 3 1 Quote
DapperCam Posted March 6 Posted March 6 He's been bad for 2 seasons now. Always chasing the play. I am excited for some new faces on defense. 4 1 Quote

NewEra Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I appreciate you laying it all on the line at all times 7. Still remember the cheap shot Jarvis Landry took on him. I wasn’t sure his body would ever hold up to the rigors of the nfl. While always dinged up, he held up well and was a force to be reckoned with in McD scheme. I’ll miss you, but the writing was on the wall. He just wasn’t the same player 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted March 6 Posted March 6 So much for that 50 pages of safety talk. Anyway, I wish him well. Awesome career out of Weber State. 1 Quote

They don’t have to wait until June 1st to cut you. The Bills can cut him now, designate him a June 1st cut but then can’t use that savings until then 1 Quote
colin Posted March 6 Posted March 6 maybe the most mcd guy ever. mcd would play him at linebacker while hurt, keep him in as we give up 280+ vs miami rather than give a young physical guy some burn. when he was coming forward he was one of the best for a while, but the last 3 seasons showed clear drop off, but he had to be half dead to get taken off the field. 1 1 Quote

Ben Posted March 6 Posted March 6 He was very good for a long time. He deserves our gratitude and respect. Best of luck taron 3 1 Quote

Thought maybe they’d suck one more year out of him with a paycut Rodgers hyping him up on national television should have been a hint. They have either Cam Lewis, or Jordan Hancock to work that spot when needed. Or they can draft a safety to play it due to it being a deep secondary draft I would like to see Hancock get this spot. 1 Quote
Steptide Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Somehow this didn't say Dane Jackson. In all seriousness, kinda surprised Quote

WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I think we could have made it work and I hate seeing a good player go. But I will admit that a big part of his importance was McDermott's scheme. It's rough but that's the business Quote
BarleyNY Posted March 6 Posted March 6 35 minutes ago, thenorthremembers said: I think you're correct. Maybe a bit surprising but he's going to be 30 and has missed 9 games the last two seasons. Can't continue to pay him that kind of money when he misses time and his play has dropped off. Yeah. He got used hard in McD’s scheme, which requires the NB to play the run a lot like a LB. He needs to either go to a team that doesn’t require that kind of physicality from their NB or just retire. Quote

SCBills Posted March 6 Posted March 6 You never realize just how massive the NFL is until moments like this, when we release our Nickel Corner and he’s the #4 trending topic in the United States on X. 1 Quote

Slack_in_MA Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Yep, best of luck to a top notch Bill who dutifully did his job. Time to get younger and faster on D. Quote
