dreadlox Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Although a report indicated Tremaine Edmundswas drawing trade interest, the Bears will not end up unloading this contract as they will D.J. Moore‘s. Chicago will release Edmunds, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2026/03/bears-to-release-lb-tremaine-edmunds#ref=home Quote
Victory Formation Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Don't care, flame me if you want, but if the bottom line is at the right price, I'd take him back.. 8 1 1 17 1 6 Quote
wppete Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Yeah try and get Tremaine in a cheap contract to come back. 1 Quote

I don't think he's going to get another huge contract. As a FA I'd be happy to get him back for an average LB salary. He's not special but he's consistent and has some range. 1 1 Quote
boyst Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Sign him. 17 years old. 29 years experience. Can play in a 34 role player. 2 1 24 1 1 Quote

bmur66 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Gotta kick the tires. Good dude. Never any issues. Is he a fit and is the price right? 1 Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Be kinda cool if he followed Matt Eberflus to SF and lined up next to Fred Warner Quote
KingBoots8 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Not opposed for the right price. I have other FA LBs I’d prefer but we could do way worse Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Man, can’t believe the Bears did him dirty like this. Just saw this photo of him leaving the Bears facility and it’s rough to watch given his age. 1 9 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) Edmunds at MLB and Benford at WLB would be solid... Seriously, our OLBs likely will offer nothing in pass coverage. We need very good coverage ILBs with range. Edited March 6 by TheyCallMeAndy Quote
dreadlox Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 He’d likely still be relied upon to disrupt passing lanes in the middle of the field, but how do y’all see his role in Leonard’s D? Could he be more of a pass rusher? The two teams must’ve discussed him during the Moore trade talks so maybe the Bills aren’t interested? I guess they could be on a vet minimum contract though. Quote
billsfan89 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Does he fit a 3-4 scheme? I don’t hate Tremaine he’s a solid player and if he’s cheap I wouldn’t hate brining him back. Overall I just question if he would be a scheme fit Quote

More Weakside ILB than Middle, but he can play the middle. Everyone always said he's best in an attacking style defense, I think his size and athleticism would benefit this defense greatly. He isn't going cheap though. He isn't coming off a bad season, Bears just need cap room. I think I'd be more shocked if Beane didn't strongly explore this. Edited March 6 by TheyCallMeAndy 1 Quote
