Alphadawg7 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) I would guess the Bills are going to have some interest here...will be interesting to follow his market. Edited March 3 by Alphadawg7 1 1 2 2 Quote
Bookie Man Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I feel like he's good, but won't be worth his contract. 1 2 Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted March 3 Posted March 3 They’ll be interested for sure. It feels risky coming off that injury and his age. I wonder what he gets? It’ll certainly be less than he would have gotten last year if he hit FA. 1 4 Quote
Steptide Posted March 3 Posted March 3 With a new defensive coaching staff, who knows if the bills will want him. He may have been a McDermott guy, but Leonard may have no interest 1 Quote
Allen2Moulds Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Who here wouldn't be excited, if we signed this guy? Overpay or not, who gives a crap. As long as it's not a 6 year deal, you can continue to do cap gymnastics on these shorter deals. 3 year deal, with with a couple void years. Quote
DJB Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Why not transition tag him and if someone signs him long term take the picks? Quote
Chicken Boo Posted March 3 Posted March 3 He'll be 32 this season and missed 10 games last year. No thank you. 7 4 2 Quote

It’ll certainly be less than he would have gotten last year if he hit FA. To me, it always felt like a hold in situation last year. Burrow was out, and the defense even with Hendrickson was awful. The only fix was to pay him to keep him happy, which the Bengals refused to do, and now he's a FA. I believe this guy still has a ton of juice, and if we let him go to a rival like NE, it would be a huge mistake. This guy terrorizes Dion. 1 Quote

Agreed, and at the same time, we are not a team in position to hold pointless grudges against premier position players (at needs). Now Im not trying to make him the highest paid or way overpay, thats a totally different reasonable objection. Maybe he wants to win? Maybe Leonhard is pounding the table for it. IDK, we should be interested though! As soon as he signs elsewhere, I can go back to hating him (hopefully on a team we dont play 2xs a year, my God I dont want him on a field with Josh at all, let alone 2xs/yr) 1 Quote

Doc Brown Posted March 3 Posted March 3 7 minutes ago, DJB said: Why not transition tag him and if someone signs him long term take the picks? I think you mean the non exclusive franchise tag. Bengals reportedly believe there was no scenario where a team would give up draft picks for him if they tagged him because they know he doesn't want to be there. Quote
